PARTICULATE ORGANIC CARBON, cloud amount/frequency and other data from COLUMBUS ISELIN in the North American Coastline-South and South Atlantic Ocean from 1990-05-23 to 1990-06-13 (NCEI Accession 9100150)
Data was collected from R/V COLUMBUS ISELIN in South Atlantic Ocean and North American Coast line-South during the Amazon Shelf Sediment Study (AMASSEDS) between May 23, 1990 to June 13, 1990. The data parameters were: pressure, temperature, salinity, oxygen, fluorescence and sediment concentration. A Neil Brown Instrument Systems Model MKIII CTD was used as the primary profiling instrument. A Sea Tech 5 cm path length Transmissometer and a Sea Tech Fluorometer were mounted near the CTD fish. On some stations the Fluoro- meter was replaced with an optical backscatter sensor to observe suspended sediment concentrations above the light transmissometer limit of 0.5 gm/l. Data was submitted in two diskettes by Dr. Richard Limeburner of Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, Woods Hole, MA. Data has been processed and is currently available in F022-CTD-Hi-Resolution file format of NODC.

PARTICULATE ORGANIC CARBON, cloud amount/frequency and other data from COLUMBUS ISELIN in the NW Atlantic, South Atlantic Ocean and SW Atlantic from 1991-11-05 to 1991-11-23 (NCEI Accession 9300014)
공공데이터포털
Transmissivity and fluorescence data collected as part of AMASSEDS (A Multidisciplinary Amazon Shelf SEDiment Study). The primary objective of AMASSEDS is to understand the sedimentary processes on the continental shelf near the mouth of the Amazon River; the physical oceanography component of AMASSEDS is directed toward understanding circulation and boundary layer processes in this region. Data were collected in conjunction with CTD observations made on the North Brazil shelf aboard the R/V ISELIN (cruise #I9113) from November 5-25, 1991. CTD data were collected with a Neil Brown Instrument Systems (NBIS) model MKIII CTD fish. CTD data were filed at NODC as file type F022, Reference #TW4831. Transmissivity data were collected with Sea Tech 5cm path transmissometer; data were used in calculating suspended sediment concentration in mg/liter. Associated fluorescence data is under Ref.# L01572. Data were submitted to NODC on floppy diskette in ASCII by Dr. Richard Limeburner. Header information is contained in each file; a companion report, WOODS HOLE Oceanogr. Inst. Tech. Rept. WHOI-92-27, was included in the documentation.

Data was submitted on a floppy disk containing 86 CTD files by Dr. Richard Limeburner, Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI), Woods Hole, MA. Data has been processed and is available in F022-CTD-Hi Resolution file format of NODC.
Physical and meteorological data collected from COLUMBUS ISELIN in North Atlantic Ocean from sediment sampler; 1975-10-28 to 1975-11-05 (NCEI Accession 7601289)
공공데이터포털
Physical and meteorological data were collected using sediment sampler and other instruments from COLUMBUS ISELIN in the North Atlantic Ocean. Data were collected from 28 October 1975 to 05 November 1975 by Virginia Institute of Marine Science in Gloucester Point with support from the Outer Continental Shelf - Mid Atlantic (OCS-Mid Atlantic) project. Data has been processed by NODC to the NODC standard Bacteriology (F009) format. The F009 format is designed to support bacteriological studies of the water column and ocean bottom. Information on environmental conditions, physical measurements of the water and sediment, and density of heterotrophic, hydrocarbonoclastic, and halophilic bacteria are presented. The format contains five data record types, each 80 characters in length, sorted by station ad sequence numbers. The first nine columns for all records are to be used for file name (columns 1-3) and file identifier (columns 4-9). The file identifier, to be assigned by the originator, is a unique originator id for each data submission. After submission, the NODC reassigns to this field a unique NODC identifier for internal use.

The data in this accession was collected as part of Joint Global Ocean Flux Study/ North Atlantic Bloom Survey (JGOFS/NABS) using Ships ENDEAVOR and ATLANTIS II. JGOFS North Atlantic Bloom Experiment Data; CTD Data plus Beam Attenuation and Fluorescence Data were collected by Scripps Institution of Oceanography and Moss Landing Marine Laboratory between April 20, 1989 and July 6, 1989. The originators data has been processed and is available in F022-CTD-Hi-Res file format of NODC.
Temperature, salinity, oxygen and other parameter profile data collected by CTD from R/V COLUMBUS ISELIN in the Northwest Atlantic Ocean from 1990-02-10 to 1990-03-29 (NCEI Accession 9100130)
공공데이터포털
Data was collected by the R/V COLUMBUS ISELIN in NW Atlantic (limit-40 W) during the Amazon Shelf Sediment Study (AMASSEDS) from February to March 1990. The data parameters are: Pressure, Temperature, Salinity, Oxygen, Fluorescence and Sediment Concentration. The entire dataset was submitted on a floppy disk by Dr. Richard Woods Limeburner, Hole Oceanographic Institute, Woods Hole, MA. Data also has been processed and is available in F022-CTD-Hi-Res file format of NODC. The F022 format contains high-resolution data collected using CTD (conductivity-temperature-depth) and STD (salinity-temperature-depth) instruments. As they are lowered and raised in the oceans, these electronic devices provide nearly continuous profiles of temperature, salinity, and other parameters. Data values may be subject to averaging or filtering or obtained by interpolation and may be reported at depth intervals as fine as 1m. Cruise and instrument information, position, date, time and sampling interval are reported for each station. Environmental data at the time of the cast (meteorological and sea surface conditions) may also be reported. The data record comprises values of temperature, salinity or conductivity, density (computed sigma-t), and possibly dissolved oxygen or transmissivity at specified depth or pressure levels. Data may be reported at either equally or unequally spaced depth or pressure intervals. A text record is available for comments.
