Temperature and Salinity in Kaneohe Bay, Oahu, Hawaii 2005 - 2007 in Support of Fresh Water Plume Studies Performed by the Department of Oceanography at the Univesity of Hawaii (NODC Accession 0039532)
Freshwater plumes from rain run-off into Kaneohe Bay are the focus for the investigation. Measurements of temperature and salinity from a moored, fixed-level CTD and temperature data from moored thermistors were recorded in 24 time series. Data were collected during November 2005 - March 2007 by members of the Department of Oceanography at the University of Hawaii. Current meter data from this project are provided in a separate NODC Accession (data set).

공공데이터포털
Freshwater plumes from rain run-off into Kaneohe Bay is the focus for the investigation. Measurements in this data set are currents as measured by an moored Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP) and a Nortek current meter. Data were collected during November 2005 - March 2007 by members of the Department of Oceanography at the University of Hawaii. The ADCP sensor includes temperature at the transducer depth of 13 m. The Nortek current meter included ancillary measurements including temperature and pressure. Temperature and salinity data taken at 24 stations as part of this project are available from NODC accession 0039532.

Nutrients, temperature and salinity data for Honokohau Harbor, Kealakekua Bay, and Kailua Bay, Big Island, Hawaii 2005-2007 (NCEI Accession 0059191)
공공데이터포털
This dataset was used as groundtruthing for low-altitude thermal infrared imagery of surface nearshore coastal waters of west Hawaii (the Big Island). Data are primarily temperature and salinity data taken in Honokohau Harbor and the adjacent oceanic waters from the surface to 5 m depth during August 2006. Additional Temperature and Salinity data plus nutrients (phosphates, nitrate, and silica) from fresh and brackish wells/ponds, harbors, and coastal waters were measured from August 2005 through May 2007.
Windward Community College Heeia Stream and Kaneohe Bay Water Quality Assessment Project 2004-2005 (NODC Accession 0002449)
공공데이터포털
Measurements of water quality parameters were taken by Windward Community College faculty and students at eight sites in the Heeia Stream and adjacent Kaneohe Bay waters from May 2004 through March 2005. Parameters include Combined Nitrogen, Photo Oxidized Nitrate, Photo Oxidized Nitrite, Total Nitrogen, Total Phosphate. Data provided as MS Excel spreadsheets.
CTD data from R/V Kilo Moana Cruise KM1123 during 2011-08 north of Hawaii (NCEI Accession 0125443)
공공데이터포털
Profiles were taken with a Sea-Bird SBE-911 plus CTD from the R/V Kilo Moana on cruise KM1123 2011-08-11 to 2011-08-25 in the vicinity of Station ALOHA, the Hawaii Ocean Time series site about 60 nm north of Oahu, Hawaii. There were seven profiles. The maximum depth of each cast varied from near 250 m to near 2000 m. The cruise is associated with the Comparative Analysis of Marine Ecosystem Organization (CAMEO) project, under guidance of chief scientist, Dr. Brian Popp of the University of Hawaii. The data include temperature, salinity, fluorescence, oxygen, and PAR. The data were post-cruise processed and calibrated.
CTD, pH and oxygen data from Kaneohe Bay, Oahu, Hawaii 2004-2009 on R/V Kaholo in support of carbon cycle research (NCEI Accession 0099831)
공공데이터포털
Coastal oceans are most likely to be impacted by anthropogenic activities because they are typically shallow and have more restricted water circulation than the open ocean. Kaneohe Bay served as a test site to gain insight into aspects of the carbon cycle. It is a semi-enclosed bay located on the eastern side of the island of Oahu, Hawaii and is the largest sheltered body of water in the islands. Thirteen profile stations were established and nine cruises were conducted during 2004-2009 on the R/V Kaholo. Cruises took place at various times of the year so that changes in carbon system parameters could be observed under varying conditions. Each cruise transect was 16 km long. This dataset includes temperature, salinity, oxygen, pH, and other ancillary parameters.
Temperature, salinity, and water chemistry data from the Comprehensive Environmental Monitoring Program of the Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion plant at Keahole, Island of Hawaii, from shallow and deep intake pipes during 1982-2017 (NCEI Accession 0001623)
공공데이터포털
The Natural Energy Laboratory of Hawaii Authority (NELHA) is a state agency that operates a unique and innovative ocean science and technology park in Kailua-Kona on the island of Hawaii. It supports an Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion (OTEC) facility at Keahole Point on the west coast of the Island of Hawaii. Intake pipes at shallow (21 m) and deep (674 m) are utilized to record water characteristics. This data set includes roughly bi-weekly or monthly samples of temperature, salinity, and water chemistry, a total 16 parameters. The shallow series began in in July 1982 and the deep series in August 1988. The update to the NCEI archive in 2018 brings both series to November 2017.
State of Hawaii, Department of Health, Clean Water Branch Special Surveys for Bellow Beach, Oahu, Hawaii 1992-1999 (NCEI Accession 0014264)
공공데이터포털
The Monitoring Section of the State of Hawaii, Department of Health, Clean Water Branch collected water quality samples at six sites near the mouth of streams and from the surf line along Bellows Beach, Oahu, Hawaii using well-established instruments and methodologies. This dataset spans 1992-1999. This was a special project beyond the routine state-wide monitoring program.
