Stream temperature and fish community data upstream and downstream of an impoundment in Big Hunting Creek, Maryland
This Data Release provides stream temperature data (13 sites) and fish community data (3 sites) in Big Hunting Creek, Maryland. Data were collected during summer baseflow conditions in 2023. This product supports brook trout conservation and restoration research needs identified by Maryland Department of Natural Resources. We collected temperature data with Onset ProV2 water temperature gages in slotted PVC housings mounted to the stream substrates with rebar. Gages recorded temperature every 15 minutes from July 11, 2023 (midnight) until July 15, 2023 (midnight) (337 observations per site). We collected fish community data following Maryland Department of Natural Resources protocols (Maryland Biological Stream Survey) with 2-pass backpack electrofishing and dipnets. All fishes were identified to species and released. Sites include locations upstream and downstream of an impoundment (Frank Bentz Pond) in Big Hunting Creek.

Stream fish species abundance and associated physical habitat data in Catoctin Mountain Park (2015-2016)
공공데이터포털
This Data Release provides records of fish species abundance collected during summer 2015 using single pass backpack electrofishing within sections of Owens Creek, Big Hunting Creek, and Blue Blazes Creek (a tributary to Big Hunting Creek) in Maryland (USA). We also provide water and air temperature data collected during at 30 minute increments summers of 2015 and 2016. Stream physical habitat data are also reported for fish sampling sites.

Stream temperature data for sites in the Potomac River headwaters during 2022
공공데이터포털
This Data Release contains stream temperature data for 12 sites within the headwaters of the Potomac River basin. Data were collected between June 1-August 31, 2022 (92 days) at 30-minute increments. We collected data using Onset ProV2 gages in perforated PVC cases mounted to stream substrates with rebar. This work was funded by the USGS Priority Ecosystem Science program for the Chesapeake Bay.

Fish Datasets for Evaluation and Review of Ecology-Focused Stream Studies, Fountain Creek Basin, Colorado
공공데이터포털
These data from Evaluation and Review of Ecology-Focused Stream Studies to Support Cooperative Monitoring, Fountain Creek Basin, Colorado were used to describe temporal trends in fish communities in the basin. Fish data were collected at U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) sites between 2003 and 2022. Datasets include fish frequency of occurrence, flathead chub catch per unit of effort, and a list of fish species collected.

Stream Temperature, Conductivity, eDNA, and Streamflow Data from the Big Creek and Monumental Creek Tributaries of the Lower Middle Fork Salmon River, Idaho 2021
공공데이터포털
This U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) data release is an assessment of aquatic habitat within the tributaries of the lower Middle Fork Salmon River. These datasets are primarily focused on physical stream habitat (2020-21 stream temperature data) and the presence or absence (2021 eDNA data) of fish that inhabit the basin. Many environmental stressors contribute to the declining range and density of Bull trout (S. confluentus) populations, one of which is the toxic trace metals contributions from legacy mine waste and adits. These data were collected in stream habitats with variable physical and thermal conditions. Characterizing and comparing reference streams of similar physical attributes will assist to differentiate the regional impacts of toxic trace metals exposure.
