Detection of Cumberlandia monodonta male mitotype eDNA from an outdoor raceway tank during a spawning event
공공데이터포털
Data describe the detection of Spectaclecase (Cumberlandia monodonta) female and male mitotype environmental DNA (eDNA) during a spawning event. Water samples (approximately 1L) were collected from an outdoor raceway tank containing C. monodonta from March to April 2021 and analyzed for the presence of sex-specific eDNA. Parameters described in this data release include water quality parameters such as water alkalinity (mg/L), hardness (mg/L) , temperature (degrees Celsius), dissolved oxygen (percent and mg/L), pH, total ammonia (mg/L), unionized ammonia (mg/L), qPCR results and associated quality assurance measurements from the raceway tank water samples.
Degradation of Cumberlandia monodonta environmental DNA over time in laboratory conditions using the C.monCOI assay
공공데이터포털
Data describe a designed environmental DNA (eDNA) experiment for the estimation of eDNA degradation rates for the spectaclecase (Cumberlandia monodonta) from water samples collected in the laboratory. Parameters described include laboratory collected water samples that were tested to estimate concentration of spectaclecase DNA and associated quality assurance data. Samples were collected from experiments performed from May 17, 2021 to May 30, 2021 at the USGS Columbia Environmental Research Center, Missouri
Data on environmental DNA detection of Medionidus simpsonianus in the Ochlockonee River (June 2021/December 2022)
공공데이터포털
Data are associated with detection of Medionidus simpsonianus in the Ochlockonee River using tactile surveys and a newly developed single-species environmental DNA (eDNA) assay tested on water samples. Data include a NADH dehydrogenase subunit 1 alignment that was used to develop primer and probe components and test target species specificity in situ, sample data from field collection and laboratory processing, and droplet digital Polymerase Chain Reaction (ddPCR) results for field samples, controls, and experiments of spin column purification effects on eDNA yield and PCR inhibitor removal. We also provide all known Medionidus simpsonianus occurrence records as of September 2023.

Object-Based Image Analysis Detection of Aquatic Vegetation, Lake Erie, Western Basin, 2018
공공데이터포털
The USGS developed the second in a series of informative spatial distribution datasets of submersed aquatic vegetation (SAV) in the western basin of Lake Erie. The second dataset was developed by object-based image analysis of high-resolution imagery (US waters < 6 meters deep) collected during peak biomass in 2018 to allow assessments of changes in SAV distribution. Assessing SAV abundance may contribute to inform the long-term impacts of Grass Carp, Common Carp, eutrophication, wind fetch and sedimentation on vegetation communities throughout Lake Erie and the impact these stressors may have on other organisms in the ecosystem. These data may also help inform the deployment of toxic bait deployments targeting Grass Carp. Bait placement can be strategically aligned with the spatial distribution and diet preferences of Grass carp to maximize control efforts while minimizing impacts to native species. These data provide a good baseline of SAV at an early point in the invasion/population growth curve for grass carp from which later assessments/models might project from, and also considered valuable for bioenergetic modeling efforts to project grass carp biomass or other species dependent on SAV.

Oregon Spotted Frog (Rana pretiosa) Monitoring in the Oregon Cascades 2012-2016
공공데이터포털
This dataset contains information from visual encounter surveys conducted between 2012 and 2016 by USGS as part of an ongoing Oregon spotted frog (Rana pretiosa) monitoring effort in the Oregon Cascade Mountain Range. We surveyed 91 sites using a rotating frame design in the Klamath and Deschutes Basins, Oregon, which encompass most of the species' core extant range. Data consist of spotted frog counts aggregated by date, location, and life stage, as well as data on environmental conditions at the time of each survey.
