Veterinary antibiotic residues in surface runoff flowing through vegetative buffer strip plots located at the University of Missouri Bradford Research and Extension Center (Columbia, MO) in September 2020
공공데이터포털
Vegetative buffer strips have been demonstrated to effectively reduce loads of sediment, nutrients, and herbicides in surface runoff, but their effectiveness for reducing veterinary antibiotic loads in runoff has not been well documented. Surface runoff simulation where performed to determine the effectiveness of Vegetative buffer strips vegetation and width on surface runoff loads of the veterinary antibiotics sulfamethazine and lincomycin. The three datasets in this release document 1. physical and chemical soil properties for soil located on experimental vegetated buffer strip plots prior to surface runoff simulations; 2. Rainfall simulator performance data and antecedent soil water content data for all vegetated buffer strip plots during the surface runoff simulations; and 3. Surface water hydrology data collected for determining veterinary antibiotic residue load concentrations and suspended sediment load concentrations in all vegetated buffer strip plots during rainfall simulations.
Organic contaminants, including hormones, pesticides, pharmaceuticals and other endocrine disrupting compounds, and estrogenicity data in select surface water samples as well as organic contaminants in bed sediment samples collected in Chesapeake Bay watershed in parts of Maryland, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia, 2012-2018 (ver. 2.0, August 2020)
공공데이터포털
These data represent surface water and bed sediment samples analyzed for a variety of organic compounds. The samples were collected in streams and rivers in the Chesapeake Bay watershed from 2012-2018. Sites were located in Maryland, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. Surface water samples were collected from 25 sites and analyzed for estrogenicity and an extensive suite of organic contaminants including hormones, pharmaceuticals, wastewater indicators, pesticides, phytoestrogens, and mycotoxins. Bed sediment samples were collected from 20 sites and analyzed for a suite of organic contaminants including hormones, wastewater indicators, pesticides, and organohalogens. Bed sediment was also analyzed for total organic carbon. Data also include replicate and blank quality assurance samples. This U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) data release contains daily-mean streamflow and water-quality data in the Chesapeake Bay watershed ranging from 2012 to 2018 (beginning and end dates may vary).

Concentrations and laboratory quality-assurance data for sulfamethoxazole and carbamazepine measured in shallow groundwater near wastewater land-application sites by using ELISA methods
공공데이터포털
The U.S. Geological Survey, in cooperation with the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency, conducted a study to determine the occurrence of micropollutants in: (1) shallow groundwater near large subsurface treatment systems and rapid infiltration basins and (2) shallow groundwater and soil from an agricultural field that land applies domestic wastewater. Water samples were analyzed with enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) methods at the U.S. Geological Survey Minnesota Water Science Center for carbamazepine and sulfamethoxazole. These data support the following publication: Krall, A.L., Elliott, S.M., Erickson, M.L., and Adams, B.A., 2018, Detecting sulfamethoxazole and carbamazepine in groundwater: Is ELISA a reliable screening tool?, Environmental Pollution, 234, p. 420-428. doi:10.1016/j.envpol.2017.11.065.

Nutrients, estrogenicity, and fecal indicators in surface water collected from wetlands in the Klamath Marsh National Wildlife Refuge, Oregon, 2017-2018
공공데이터포털
The data included here were gathered to determine the effects of cattle grazing on wetland water quality in the Klamath National Wildlife Refuge in Oregon. Surface water samples from sites representing a range of grazing histories were collected between June and October in 2017 and 2018. Samples were analyzed for nutrients (ammonia, nitrate plus nitrite, nitrite, and orthophosphate), total coliforms, E. coli, enterococci, and estrogenicity by U.S. Geological Survey laboratories. Basic water quality parameters such as temperature, pH, turbidity and specific conductance were also collected in the field during each site visit. Quality assurance samples (blanks and replicates) as well as method information is also included in the data release.
