Array detections and physical captures for three native fishes in the Little Colorado River in Grand Canyon, AZ
These data were compiled to monitor native fishes (particularly humpback chub Gila cypha) in the Little Colorado River, in the Grand Canyon, AZ. Objective(s) of our study were to evaluate the timing of native fish migration and the abundance of migratory and resident fishes between the Colorado and Little Colorado Rivers in the Grand Canyon. These data represent encounter histories for fishes - including array detections and physical captures. These data were collected in the lower 13.56 river kilometers of the Little Colorado River in April and May of 2021 and 2022. These data were collected by U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (physical captures) and U.S. Geological Survey (array detections). These data can be used to evaluate yearly or size-based differences in timing and abundance of spawning fishes. These data can also be used to evaluate partial migration.

Continuous Detection PIT Array - Data and Models
공공데이터포털
These data represent a set of capture histories of rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss or RBT) captured in the Colorado River (CR) and(or) detected on the multiplexer array in the Little Colorado River (LCR). Capture trips to the Colorado River occurred in April 2012, July 2012, September 2012, January 2013, April 2013, July 2013, September 2013, January 2014, April 2014, July 2014, and September 2014. Rainbow trout were detected on the PIT array system (MUX) from October 2013 - April 2014.

Laboratory Predation Data (various nonnative warm-water sport fishes), Arizona
공공데이터포털
These data were compiled to evaluate the potential impact various environmental conditions may have on native fish populaitons through predation. Introduced warm-water sport fishes present a high predation risk for juvenile native fishes, but observations of juvenile native fish surviving and recruiting in some rare cases led us to question what environmental conditions might be responsible for these trends. These data were compiled to allow for a relative comparison of predation effectiveness between a suite of warm-water predators under a variety of environmental conditions. Mean numbers of prey fish surviving in replicated overnight laboratory predation trials were quantified.

Brown trout movement data in Glen and Grand Canyons, Arizona, USA
공공데이터포털
These data were compiled to test hypotheses regarding drivers of movement of brown trout. Objectives of our study were to test whether the degree of movement varied in response to placement of a weir in Bright Angel Creek, fall timed flooding events, or simply seasonal changes. These data represent summarized capture histories of brown trout in terms of states based on physical locations, data on removal efforts in Bright Angel Creek, and summaries of effort in the mainstem Colorado River. These data were collected at several locations along the Colorado River in Glen and Grand Canyon, including Bright Angel Creek from 2011 to 2018. These data were collected by U.S. Geological Survey, National Park Service, and Arizona Game and Fish. These data can be used to test hypotheses regarding drivers of brown trout movement in the Colorado River in its Grand Canyon segment.

Hatchery Trout Predation Data, Arizona
공공데이터포털
These data were compiled to evaluate the potential adverse impacts that stocked trout may have on native fish populaitons through predation. Hatchery-reared rainbow and brown trout are typically fed exclusively on commercially prepared pelleted feeds and have no experience catching or consuming life fish at the time of stocking and yet stocked fish are percieved to present a high predation risk for juvenile native fishes. These data were compiled to allow for a relative comparison of predation effectiveness between hatchery-reared fish and wild fish. Mean numbers of prey fish surviving in replicated overnight laboratory predation trials were quantified.
