This dataset represents a one-time sediment sampling effort from the Nuâuuli Pala Lagoon, American Samoa. A suite of organic and inorganic parameters were quantified at twelve randomly selected sites and one targeted site in 2017, including: polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs), pesticides, human-use pharmaceuticals and personal care products, trace elements, carbon, Clostridium perfringens abundance, and sediment grain size.

This dataset contains dissolved inorganic carbon, Total alkalinity, pH on Total Scale, nutrients and other variables measured from profile discrete measurement in the Northeast coast of the US. Increasing amounts of atmospheric carbon dioxide from human industrial activities are causing changes in global ocean carbon chemistry resulting in a reduction in pH, a process termed ocean acidification. Studies have demonstrated adverse effects on calcifying organisms, particularly some invertebrates, corals, sea urchins, pteropods, and coccolithophores. This effort is in support of the coastal monitoring and research objectives of the NOAA Ocean Acidification Program (OAP).

This dataset contains the surface discrete measurements of dissolved inorganic carbon, total alkalinity, pH on total scale and nutrients during the R/V Savannah cruise SAV1803 (EXPOCODE 33H620180308) in the west coast of Florida, Gulf of Mexico from 2018-03-08 to 2018-03-13. Increasing amounts of atmospheric carbon dioxide from human industrial activities are causing changes in global ocean carbon chemistry resulting in a reduction in pH, a process termed ocean acidification. In support of the coastal monitoring and research objectives of the NOAA Ocean Acidification Program (OAP), the South Florida Project Cruises (SFP) are utilized to collect water samples to measure surface water inorganic carbon and hydrographic parameters including nutrients. Samples are collected from seven stations on a bi-monthly basis to monitor the outflow of the Shark River Slough (SRS) into the southwestern Gulf of Mexico. Water samples are sent to and analyzed by scientists at the Atlantic Oceanographic and Meteorological Laboratory (AOML) for dissolved inorganic carbon, pH, total alkalinity and nutrient concentrations. These data are used to observe the effects of the SRS on acidification in the coastal ocean.

This data set contains the results from monitoring in the St. Thomas East End Reserves (STEER) in St. Thomas, USVI, from January 2012 to November 2013. The monitoring was conducted by project partners at the University of the Virgin Islands, and was part of a larger project to conduct an integrated assessment of the STEER. The data set includes measurements of nitrate, nitrate, ammonium, urea, orthophosphate, dissolved inorganic nitrogen, dissolved organic nitrogen, total nitrogen, total phosphorus, orthophosphate, bulk sediment deposition, terrigenous, organic, and carbonate sediment fractions, and total suspended solids (TSS).
