Water physical and chemical data from current meter and bottle casts from the GILLISS as part of the Ocean Continental Shelf - Mid Atlantic (OCS - Mid Atlantic) project, 1976-02-04 to 1976-09-14 (NCEI Accession 7700477)
공공데이터포털
Water physical and chemical data were collected using current meter and bottle casts from the GILLISS and other platforms from February 4, 1976 to September 14, 1976. Data were submitted by Virginia Institute of Marine Science - Gloucester Point, as part of the Ocean Continental Shelf - Mid Atlantic (OCS - Mid Atlantic) project. Data were processed by NODC to the NODC standard Current Meter Data (F015) format. The F014 format is designed to support studies of physical and chemical observations on the water column. Reported are measurements of temperature, salinity, conductivity, dissolved oxygen, nitrate, nitrite, ammonia, orthophosphate, and organic carbon. The format consists of four data record types, 80 characters in length, sorted by station and sequence numbers for proper order. The first nine columns for all records are to be used for file type (columns 1-3) and file identifier (columns 4-9). The file identifier, to be assigned by the originator, is an unique originator id for each data submission. After submission, the NODC reassigns to this field an unique NODC identifier for internal use.

NODC Accession 0098794 contains physical and chemical oceanographic profile data collected aboard multiple ships worldwide from 1959-05-26 to 2012-06-03. These data include AIR TEMPERATURE - DRY BULB, AIR TEMPERATURE - WET BULB, BAROMETRIC PRESSURE, BIOLOGICAL DATA, CHLOROPHYLL, DEPTH - BOTTOM, DISSOLVED OXYGEN, HYDROSTATIC PRESSURE, NITRATE, NITRITE, PARTICULATE ORGANIC CARBON, PHAEOPHYTIN, PRIMARY PRODUCTIVITY, SALINITY, SEA STATE, Secchi dEPTH, TOTAL ALKALINITY (TA), WATER TEMPERATURE, WAVE HEIGHT, WAVE PERIOD, WEATHER, WIND DIRECTION, WIND FORCE, WIND SPEED, cloud amount/frequency, cloud types, nitrate + nitrite content (concentration), pH, phosphate, and silicate. The instruments used to collect these data include CTD, bathythermograph - XBT, bottle, meteorological sensors, and Secchi disks. Mathieu Ouellet from Fisheries and Oceans Canada submitted these data, which were collected by multiple organizations.
Physical, chemical, geological, and biological data collected by U.S. Geological Survey from moorings in the North Atlantic Ocean, North Pacific Ocean, and Mediterranean Sea from 1975-05-08 to 2015-07-14 (NCEI Accession 0156446)

Time series datasets collected by the USGS Coastal and Marine Geology Program from 1975 to the present. The data were collected to address specific research questions and were primarily collected over durations less than a year, using stationary platforms, with sensors near the sea floor. Some of the measurements span the vertical extent of the water column, but others are limited to the area less than 5 meters above the sea floor. These data have been used to study of ocean dynamics and to validate coastal ocean models.
WATER TEMPERATURE and other data from OCEANUS in the NE Atlantic and North Atlantic Ocean from 1991-06-21 to 1991-07-04 (NCEI Accession 9600129)
공공데이터포털
Depth, temperature, and other data were collected from the OCEANUS from June 21, 1991 to July 4, 1991. Data were submitted by Dr. Robert Weller of the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution. These data were collected using XBT casts in the Northeast Atlantic Ocean.
WATER TEMPERATURE and Other Data from FIXED PLATFORM From South Atlantic Ocean and Others from 1978-11-22 to 1981-01-13 (NCEI Accession 9000113)

This data set is a processed version of data obtained during the First GARP (Global Atmospheric Research Program) Global Experiment (FGGE). The data were obtained by 359 individual drifting buoys from November 1978 to January 1981 mostly in the southern hemisphere oceans. This data set was processed by Dr. Steven L. Patterson from NODC. The buoys were supplied by different countries. Included in the documentation is a description of the data set and a manuscript titled "Surface Circulation and Kinetic Energy Distribution in the South by S.L. Patterson". This paper was published in the Journal of Physical Oceanography 15 (7).

Data has been processed by NODC to the NODC standard Bathythermograph (XBT) (C116) format. The C116/C118 format contains temperature-depth profile data obtained using expendable bathythermograph (XBT) instruments. Cruise information, position, date and time were reported for each observation. The data record was comprised of pairs of temperature-depth values. Unlike the MBT Data File, in which temperature values were recorded at uniform 5 m intervals, the XBT data files contained temperature values at non-uniform depths. These depths were recorded at the minimum number of points ("inflection points") required to accurately define the temperature curve. Standard XBTs can obtain profiles to depths of either 450 or 760 m. With special instruments, measurements can be obtained to 1830 m. Prior to July 1994, XBT data were routinely processed to one of these standard types. XBT data are now processed and loaded directly in to the NODC Ocean Profile Data Base (OPDB). Historic data from these two data types were loaded into the OPDB.
