Population genetics metrics for wild brook trout populations in North Carolina (1998-2016)
This data set includes information on 406 wild brook trout populations from across the State of North Carolina. Key genetics metrics on diversity and the extent of hatchery introgression are presented. These data accompany the following article: Kazyak, D.C., Rash, Jacob, Lubinski, B.A., and King, T.L., 2018, Assessing the impact of stocking northern-origin hatchery brook trout on the genetics of wild populations in North Carolina: Conservation Genetics, v. 19, p. 207-219, https://doi.org/10.1007/s10592-017-1037-4.

Population genetic data for wild Brook Trout (Salvelinus fontinalis) from the Midwestern United States and selected domestic strains
공공데이터포털
This dataset includes microsatellite genotypes for 8,454 brook trout from 188 wild Midwestern populations and 26 hatchery strains of both Midwest and eastern (Atlantic seaboard) origin. Each individual was genotyped at either 5 or 7 loci.
Brook trout abundance in streams across southern Appalachia from 1958-2021
공공데이터포털
This Data Release compiles records of brook trout abundance from 745 unique sites across the southern Appalachian mountains from 1958-2021. Records were compiled from 10 institutions, primarily state natural resource agencies. Data were collected from wadeable stream environments with standard backpack electrofishing methods, and observed abundances of adult and juvenile brook trout are reported for each electrofishing pass within sample sites.

Community composition data for assessing fish populations in headwater streams of the Adirondack Mountains, New York, USA
공공데이터포털
Community composition data from multi-pass electrofishing surveys for assessing fish populations in headwater streams of the Adirondack Mountains, New York, USA. Each row represents one individual fish. This spreadsheet contains 11 columns. The first 7 columns describe the data (year collected, local site ID, stream name, latitude, longitude, USGS site number, and electrofishing pass number) and the remaining 4 columns describe each individual fish (common name, scientific name, total length (mm) and weight (g)). These data support the following publication: Baldigo, B.P., Sporn, L.A., George, S.D., and Ball, Jacob, in press. Efficacy of environmental DNA to detect and quantify Brook Trout Salvelinus fontinalis, populations in streams of the Adirondack Mountains, New York. Trans. Amer. Fish. Soc. na, na; http://dx.doi.org/10.1577/.

Population Genetic Data of Breeding and Wintering King Eiders (Somateria spectabilis)
공공데이터포털
This data release includes one table of nuclear microsatellite genotypes and mitochondrial DNA haplotypes from the cytochrome b region in King Eider. This information was used to determine levels of population genetic differentiation among breeding and wintering sites of King Eiders (Somateria fischeri).
Population Plots at Two Seabird Colonies in Lower Cook Inlet, Alaska
공공데이터포털
This dataset consists of one table with annual counts from population plots of Black-legged Kittiwakes and Common Murres at two seabird nesting colonies on Gull and Chisik Islands in lower Cook Inlet, Alaska.
Environmental DNA data, fish abundance data, and stream habitat data from northwest Montana and northeast Washington and southern British Columbia, Canada
공공데이터포털
Field estimates of the abundance of two trout species (bull trout and westslope cutthroat trout) in Montana and rainbow trout in Washington and British Columbia were collected in concert with environmental DNA samples (eDNA) to evaluate if eDNA copy numbers correlated with abundance of trout. In addition, stream habitat data including channel units (pools, riffles), substrate, large woody debris, among others, were collected at sites.
Hatchery Trout Predation Data, Arizona
공공데이터포털
These data were compiled to evaluate the potential adverse impacts that stocked trout may have on native fish populaitons through predation. Hatchery-reared rainbow and brown trout are typically fed exclusively on commercially prepared pelleted feeds and have no experience catching or consuming life fish at the time of stocking and yet stocked fish are percieved to present a high predation risk for juvenile native fishes. These data were compiled to allow for a relative comparison of predation effectiveness between hatchery-reared fish and wild fish. Mean numbers of prey fish surviving in replicated overnight laboratory predation trials were quantified.
