Petrophysical data collected on outcrops and rock samples from the eastern Adirondack Highlands, New York
Petrophysical data were collected in the eastern Adirondack Highlands during several field campaigns in 2016-2017. This data release provides magnetic susceptibility, gamma spectrometry, and density measurements on rock outcrops, hand samples, and during walking surveys. Rock types for the outcrops and samples were identified using standard field methods. Locations of the outcrops or samples were determined using a handheld GPS.

Gamma spectrometry measurements on outcrops and over ground in the eastern Adirondack Highlands
공공데이터포털
Radiometric (gamma spectrometry) measurements were made during walking surveys in the eastern Adirondack Highlands, New York using a GF Instruments Gamma Surveyor. The surveys involved recording measurement averages over 30-second intervals while holding the instrument approximately 1 meter above the ground. Locations were obtained via a handheld GPS. The surveys were conducted near magnetite-apatite deposits and in areas with mine tailings. For more information on radiometric methods, please see the International Atomic Energy Agency publication "Guidelines for Radioelement Mapping Using Gamma Ray Spectrometry Data" (2003).
Density of rock samples from the eastern Adirondack Highlands, New York
공공데이터포털
The density of rock samples collected 2016-2017 from the eastern Adirondack Highlands in New York was measured in the laboratory using standard immersion methods. The corresponding rock type was identified using standard field geologic approaches. Rock locations were determined in the field using a handheld GPS.

Whole rock and portable XRF geochemistry data from Mesoproterozoic granitic rocks in the eastern Adirondack Mountains, New York
공공데이터포털
This data release includes whole rock (WR) and portable X-ray fluorescence (pXRF) geochemical data collected from the eastern Adirondack Mountains, NY. Whole rock geochemistry data were analyzed at Bureau Veritas Commodities Canada Ltd. Laboratories in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Data were collected using a Thermo Niton portable X-ray fluorescence (XRF) spectrometer. Rock samples for all methods were collected by Kaitlyn Suarez, Daniel Tjapkes, and Greg Walsh. The data release contains five files, including one metadata file and four comma-delimited (CSV) files. The CSV files include the following: EasternAdirondacks_WR_data_.csv, EasternAdirondacks_WR_data_dictionary.csv, EasternAdirondacks_pXRF_data.csv, and EasternAdirondacks_pXRF_data_dictonary.csv.

Ground-based gamma spectrometry data collected in northern Maine (Version 2.0, September 2022)
공공데이터포털
Radiometric (gamma spectrometry) measurements were made during walking surveys in northern Maine using a GF Instruments Gamma Surveyor. These surveys involved recording measurement averages over 30-second intervals while holding the instrument approximately 1 meter above the ground. Locations were obtained via a handheld GPS. Data were collected over and in the vicinity of a radiometric thorium anomaly identified via an airborne survey. For more information on radiometric methods, please see the International Atomic Energy Agency publication "Guidelines for Radioelement Mapping Using Gamma Ray Spectrometry Data" (2003). U-Pb and 40Ar/39Ar Geochronologic Data for Selected Rocks from the Western Alaska Range, Alaska
공공데이터포털
This dataset includes four tables with isotopic data and ages for selected igneous bedrock samples collected in 2001 through 2003 from the Western Alaska Range, southcentral Alaska: (1) the concentration of uranium (U) and thorium (Th), ratios of multiple isotopes of lead (Pb) and U, and the age of multiple analytical aliquots, or fractions, of zircon for each sample; (2) the 40Ar/39Ar analytical data and interpreted ages for each rock sample; (3) the sample location, rock characteristics, and interpreted ages for each sample; (4) a data dictionary table, provided as a reference guide for the user.
