Vessel use in the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary collected through aerial surveys between 2016-02-02 to 2017-01-21 (NCEI Accession 0206105)
This report and data set provides baseline data of the types of boats, the location of boats, the abundance of boats, and the activities of the people on the boats. The report is largely descriptive, including boat count and boat densities. Basic patterns of the distribution of boats by time, location, or types are described, and statistical analysis of the differences in boating patterns are provided when appropriate. Aerial surveys were conducted at altitudes between 500 and 1000 feet, at a speed of approximately 100 knots to characterize boating patterns throughout the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary (FKNMS).

Aerial Survey of Vessel Usage and Marine Animal Occurrence between Ft. Pierce and Key West Florida, 1992-2004
공공데이터포털
An aerial survey between Ft Pierce and Key West Florida was performed aboard US Coast Guard helicopters and fixed wing aircraft from September 1992 through March 2004. Point in time occurrences of vessels and marine animals in the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary, Biscayne National Park (BNP), Pennekamp State Park, and Oculina Bank HAPC are documented during 211 surveys. A data logger system has been developed to accurately geo-position vessel occurrences. Regression equations are computed to compare trailer counts at marinas and vessel usage in BNP.
Acropora Spatial Survey Data of the Upper Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary, 2005 - 2007 (NCEI Accession 0046934)
공공데이터포털
These data were collected by the NOAA Southeast Fisheries Science Center to document the presence or absence of Acropora spp at shallow reef sites in the Upper Florida Keys (USA). The presence or absence of acroporid corals was marked by handheld GPS during snorkel or tow surveys of shallow water (<5m) reef habitats in the Upper Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary. The data are in GIS shape and layer files with associated attribute files, metadata files, and additional .pdf file outputs of the GIS data layers.
Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary Boundary (polygon)
공공데이터포털
The Office of National Marine Sanctuaries manages a system of sanctuaries and other managed areas around the country. The legal boundaries of These sanctuaries are defined within the Code of Federal Regulations, at 15 C.F.R. Part 922 and thesubparts for each national marine sanctuary. The GIS compatible digital boundary files for each national marine sanctuary are representations of those legal boundaries and are based on the best available data. These files are available for public use at locations defined in this metadata record.
NCCOS mapping: seafloor mapping products for the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary from 2004-01-01 to 2019-09-22 (NCEI Accession 0170215)
공공데이터포털
This dataset is an inventory of seafloor mapping data from hydrographic multibeam sonar surveys and georeferenced benthic photographs and video clips, all collected in and around the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary (FKNMS). The multibeam data sets contain both bathymetric and backscatter data for the FKNMS and adjacent areas in the Atlantic Ocean, bounded to the North by the Florida Keys, and contain detailed surveys of various portions of FKNMS such as the Dry Tortugas and Tortugas Bank areas. Underwater video and photographs for ground validation were acquired during research cruises in the FKNMS. All of these datasets can be visualized online in the 2nd edition of the FKNMS Digital Atlas.
