Oceanographic data collected from station Pump Station by Hudson River Environmental Conditions Observing System (HRECOS) and assembled by Mid-Atlantic Regional Association Coastal Ocean Observing System (MARACOOS) in the Hudson River from 2012-07-19 to 2019-03-31 (NCEI Accession 0163411)
공공데이터포털
This dataset contains oceanographic data collected at Pump Station, a fixed station in the Hudson River. These sensors measure CONDUCTIVITY, DEPTH - OBSERVATION, DISSOLVED OXYGEN, LATITUDE, LONGITUDE, OXYGEN - PERCENT SATURATION, WATER LEVEL, WATER TEMPERATURE and turbidity at frequent intervals in the nearshore coastal ocean. Hudson River Environmental Conditions Observing System (HRECOS) collected the data and provided the data to MARACOOS, which assembles data from Hudson River Environmental Conditions Observing System (HRECOS) and other sub-regional coastal and ocean observing systems of the Mid-Atlantic Coastal United States, submitted the data to NCEI as part of the Integrated Ocean Observing System Data Assembly Centers (IOOS DACs) Data Stewardship Program. The data are made available in netCDF formatted files, which follow the Climate and Forecast metadata convention (CF) and the Attribute Convention for Data Discovery (ACDD). Each month, NCEI adds to this dataset the data collected during the previous month. The intake for the pump station is located 91 meters from the main channel and is raised by a tripod approximately 3 meters from the river bottom (41.720993 N, 73.942569 W). Water depth is 18 meters at this location. Water is pumped from this location into the pump house where water quality sensors on a YSI 6600 sonde record the following parameters every 15 minutes: specific conductance, turbidity, and water temperature. A separate sensor at the southern edge of the Marist Boat dock (41.720585 N, 73.938794 W) records water elevation, which is converted from NGVD29 to NAVD88 in the HRECOS database. All data are recorded by a CR1000 datalogger and transmitted to the HRECOS database via cellular modem.

The hydrologic station is located at the north end of the PVSC dock on the Kearny Point Reach of the Passaic River, adjacent to 'USGS Tide Gage 01392650 Passaic River at PVSC at Newark NJ'. A YSI EXO2 water quality sonde measures dissolved oxygen, pH, specific conductance, salinity, turbidity, depth, and water temperature every 15 minutes. The sonde is housed in a locked 4â diameter PVSC pipe which is bolted to the concrete sea wall. The sonde sits on a bolt set across the bottom of the pipe, which is set approximately 1 meter above the bottom of the river. The bottom 2 feet of the pipe is perforated with numerous holes to allow free water flow past the sensors. Data is recorded by a CR200 datalogger and transmitted to the HRECOS database via a Raven XT cellular modem.

This dataset contains oceanographic and surface meteorological data collected at Port of Albany weather/hydro, a fixed station in the Hudson River. These sensors measure AIR TEMPERATURE, BAROMETRIC PRESSURE, CHLOROPHYLL, CONDUCTIVITY, DEPTH - OBSERVATION, DEWPOINT, DISSOLVED OXYGEN, INCOMING SOLAR RADIATION, LATITUDE, LONGITUDE, OXYGEN - PERCENT SATURATION, PRECIPITATION AMOUNT, RELATIVE HUMIDITY, SALINITY, WATER LEVEL, WATER TEMPERATURE, WIND DIRECTION, WIND GUST, WIND SPEED, pH and turbidity at frequent intervals in the nearshore coastal ocean. Each month, NCEI adds to this dataset the data collected during the previous month. The Albany HRECOS Meteorological station began reporting on January 4th, 2011. It is mounted on the concrete bulkhead on the western shoreline of the Hudson River at the Port of Albany, just to the south of the Cargill Granary. Its coordinates are 42.61954 N, 73.75890 W. Sensors are installed on a 10â tower that is above nearby vegetation and over one hundred feet from nearby structures. Data is reported to a CR1000 datalogger, then to a nearby computer (~1000 m) via a 900 MHz spread spectrum radio. The Albany HRECOS hydrologic station is mounted on the concrete piling on the western shoreline of the Hudson River at the Port of Albany, just to the south of the Cargill Grainery. The channel depth at this location is 32 feet. All parameters are measured using a YSI 6600V2 sonde, except for water elevation/depth (elevation calculations began on 11/28/2011, when sensor was surveyed to NAVD88), which is measured by an OTT bubbler sensor. The YSI 6600 sonde at this site reports the following parameters via a CR1000 datalogger every 15 minutes: acidity, dissolved oxygen (% saturation and mg/L), specific conductance, turbidity, and water temperature (see the section titled âSensor Specificationsâ for more information). *Chlorophyll measurements ended 12/12/2011 when it was decided that data from this sensor were not informative.
