The Conductivity, Temperature and Depth (CTD) and nutrient data were collected as part of Western Equatorial Pacific Ocean Circulation Study (WEPOCS). Three year data WEPOCS I, II, III was collected from TOGA Area - Pacific (30 N to 30 S) using Ships THOMAS G. THOMPSON and MOANA WAVE. The data was collected over a period spanning from June 18, 1985 to July 28, 1988. Data was submitted by Dr. Roger Lukas, University of Hawaii at Manoa. The originator's bathythermograph (XBT) data was submitted by First Institute of Oceanography, Shandong Province, China. Data has been processed and is available in F022-CTD-Hi Resolution file format of NODC. F022 High-resolution CTD data is collected from high resolution (conductivity-temperature-depth) instruments. As they are lowered and raised in the oceans, these electronic devices provide nearly continuous profiles of temperature, salinity and other parameters. Data values may be subject to averaging or filtering or obtained by interpolation and may be reported at depth intervals as fine as 1 m. Cruise and instrument information, position, date, time and sampling interval are reported for each station. Environmental data at the time of the cast (meteorological and sea surface conditions) may also be reported. The data record comprises values of temperature, salinity or conductivity, density (computed sigma-t) and possibly dissolved oxygen or transmissivity at specified depth or pressure levels. Data may be reported at either equally or unequally spaced depth or pressure intervals.

The F022 format contains high-resolution data collected using CTD (conductivity-temperature-depth) and STD (salinity-temperature-depth) instruments. This dataset contains two Wave Energy (wave height and wave period) data files from Hawaiian coast (Kahului, Maui) collected in TOGA Area - Pacific (30 N to 30 S) from October 27, 1993 to May 31, 1995. Data collected by Dr. W. M. O'Reilly were submitted through Ms. Julie Thomas of Scripps Institution of Oceanography, La Jolla, CA.

Physical, meteorological, and other data were collected from FIXED PLATFORMS in the TOGA Area - Pacific (30 N to 30 S) from 01 January 1988 to 31 December 1988. Data was submitted by the Pacific Marine Environmental Laboratory (PMEL) as part of the Tropical Ocean Global Atmosphere (TOGA) project. Data were obtained from an Atlas mooring and parameters include surface temperature, wind direction components, sea surface temperature, and water temperature at 10 discrete depths to 500 meters.
