Escapement of target species at the Gisasa River Weir
공공데이터포털
Tabular dataset containing enumeration of target species observed at the Gisasa weir by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service between 1994 and 2023.
Fall Chinook Escapement - Klamath Basin Watershed
공공데이터포털
Adult salmonid data collected from various areas within the Klamath basin watershed. Various tributaries are monitored using video systems (Bogus Creek, Shasta River, Scott River), other areas are monitored using redd/carcass surveys, and Iron gate Hatchery adult returns. The main purpose of the data is to estimate escapement of fall Chinook slamon, although data on other species (steelhead, coho salmon) also collected. For more information on the various collection methods, please view the specific metadata document included with the data download. This data and metadata were submitted by California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) Staff though the Data Management Plan (DMP) framework with the id: DMP000381. Riverscape snorkeling surveys of salmonid distribution and abundance before (2007, 2008) and after (2018, 2019) dam removal on the Elwha River, Washington
공공데이터포털
We used snorkel surveys in the Elwha River, conducted in consecutive years before (2007, 2008) and after (2018, 2019) dam removal to assess changes in fish distribution and density. In total, we counted 54,616 Chinook Salmon, Bull Trout, Steelhead, and trout (Rainbow Trout and Coastal Cutthroat Trout combined) in 22 common reaches spanning 65 river kilometers. The occupancy of juvenile Chinook Salmon, Coho Salmon, and trout was also assessed following dam removal.

WDFW-Salmonid Population Indicators (SPI) Escapement

WDFW SPI wild salmonid abundance
Biometric data of adult salmon in the Andreafsky River at Yukon Delta National Wildlife Refuge, Alaska
공공데이터포털
Tabular dataset containing age, sex, and length data for Chum, Chinook, and Sockeye salmon. Sex was determined externally using visual clues such as snout shape and size. Length was measured from fork to mid-eye with a measuring board to the closest 5 mm. Strata refers to the potion of the run the fish was sampled during. Strata data is based on the size of the population rather than date since the salmon run does not start on one specific date year by year. Scales were also taken and placed on a gum card for age assessment. One scale was taken for all sampled Chum salmon and three scales were taken for all sampled Chinook salmon.

Fish Health data - Snake River sockeye salmon captive propagation
공공데이터포털
In the early 1990s, Redfish Lake sockeye salmon from the Sawtooth Basin in Idaho were on the brink of extinction, and they were listed as endangered under the US Endangered Species Act in 1991. To prevent extinction, a gene rescue captive broodstock program was established for the stock that consisted of taking most of the remaining gene pool into captive culture at specialized conservation hatcheries at the Manchester Research Station and the Idaho Department of Fish and Game Eagle Hatchery. Efforts through the decade of the 1990s consisted of developing techniques for successful culture of sockeye salmon to adulthood, establishing rearing and spawning protocols to ensure preservation of stock diversity, and habitat enhancement at the rearing lakes. In the early 2000s, the program began to include a demographic focus to boost the population through rearing and release of enough juveniles to produce some adult returns. For the last few years, NWFSC eyed egg production has resulted in over 150,000 smolts being released into the Stanley basin annually for recovery, with plans to increase NWFSC eyed egg production to support release of half a million smolts in the Stanley Basin by 2017. In 2011, and for the fourth year in a row, record numbers of sockeye adults have returned to their native home in Idaho. All fresh mortalities larger than 100 mm are sent to Fish Health for pathology. Autopsy data is maintained on their database.
