This data set documents the stomach contents of age-0 Arctic cisco (Coregonus autumnalis) captured in Prudhoe Bay, Alaska in August 2009

Data from fish captured by Erwin, Casey 1988. Includes fish size, weight, sex, reproductive stage data as well as quantitative stomach contents data and qualitative position data. Approximate locations where fish were caught are provided in the database. Additionally an approximate image map is also provided as a visual reference. These data are stored in an Access Database. This data set contains food habits determined from stomachs of northern fur seals collected from pelagic waters during 1981-1985. Prey items were identified using hard parts including bones, otoliths, and cephalopod beaks.

This dataset provides information on fish species composition and their diet information for 16 lakes and 16 ponds at two locations on the central Arctic Coastal Plain, Alaska. In one table, we provide the presence of fish species and the total species count for each lake or pond sampled. This table also includes metrics of surface water connectivity to the stream network. In a second table, stomach content information is provided for fish collected during summer sampling periods (late June to mid-August) over three years (2011–2013). The third table includes stable carbon isotope and stable nitrogen isotope signature data for fish species and snails (the baseline organism) from 16 water bodies at one study location in 2013.

This data set documents the carbon and nitrogen stable isotope ratios of age-0 Arctic cisco (Coregonus autumnalis) captured in Prudhoe Bay, Alaska in August 2009. The analysis of this data was published in von Biela et al. 2013 (Polar Biology 36:137-146, doi:10.1007/s00300-012-1244-x). All stable isotope results were provided by the University of Alaska Anchorage Environmental and Natural Resources Institute (ENRI) Stable Isotope Laboratory. The Stable Isotope Facility was led by Dr. Jeffery Welker and managed by Brian Cohn at the time of the analysis.

This data set includes count, location, and ancillary habitat data for fishes sampled in adjacent reaches of Georgiana Slough, Sacramento River, and Steamboat Slough in the northern Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta. It also includes data on the stomach contents of selected individual black basses (Micropterus). Fishes were sampled by boat electrofishing from approximately January-May, 2020-2022, plus gillnetting in 2020. Samples were collected under a stratified random sampling design. Gillnetting involved short duration (~60 minute) sets of monofilament experimental gill nets. Boat electrofishing involved either single or repeated passes along an individual 300 m shoreline transect. Stomach contents data are from fishes that were frozen whole immediately upon collection and later processed in a laboratory.
