Basic upper-air parameters interpolated at 0.5 kiloPascal increments of atmospheric pressure from the network of upper-air stations during the 1993, 1994, and 1996 field campaigns over the entire study region.

Measurements of wind speed and direction, air pressure and temperature, potential temperature, dewpoint, mixing ratio of H2O, CO2 concentration, and ozone concentration over the NSA, SSA, and the transect during BOREAS IFCs 1, 2, and 3 during 1994.

Parameters include wind direction, wind speed, west wind component (u), south wind component (v), static pressure, air dry bulb temperature, potential temperature, dewpoint, temperature, water vapor mixing ratio, and CO2 concentration.

Users should not use this version except in rare cases (e.g., when reproducing previous studies that used this version).**Integrated Global Radiosonde Archive is a digital data set archived at the National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI). The Integrated Global Radiosonde Archive (IGRA) consists of radiosonde and pilot balloon observations at over 1500 globally distributed stations. Observations are available for standard, surface, tropopause and significant levels. Variables include: Pressure, Temperature, Geopotential Height, Dewpoint, Depression, Wind Direction, and Wind Speed. The period of record varies from station to station, with many extending from 1905 to 2016. Station records for version 1 are available by contacting NCEI Customer Support. IGRA data originate from 11 different sources and have passed through a set of rigorous quality assurance procedures.
