Hydroacoustic data for detection of Dreissenid mussels and their habitat in Lake Minnetonka, Minnesota, 2022
공공데이터포털
Multibeam and sidescan sonar were collected for a total of 15 sites in the North Arm, Maxwell Bay, and St. Albans Bay of Lake Minnetonka, Minnesota, to determine whether hydroacoustics could be used in turbid rivers and lakes as a method of rapid detection for invasive zebra mussel (Dreissena polymorpha) infestations. Hydroacoustic data were collected in June, August, and the end of September, 2022 at all 15 sites. This dataset is composed of bathymetry in the form of digital elevation models and 3D point cloud (in the form of XYZ text file), sidescan sonar image mosaics, and underwater video still images for assessing the detection of Dreissenids using hydroacoustics and underwater video for habitat.

Method comparison for the detection of environmental DNA from three species of unionid mussels in a mesocosm
공공데이터포털
Data describe a mesocosm study for the detection of mucket (Ortmanniana ligamentina), fatmucket (Lampsilis siliquoidea), and giant floater (Pyganodon grandis) freshwater mussel environmental DNA (eDNA). Water samples were collected on two different days in September of 2022 from a CERC pond containing O. ligamentina, L. siliquoidea, and P. grandis then analyzed for the presence of eDNA. Three different collection methods were performed: (1) 50 milliliter samples which were centrifuged, decanted, and concentrated pellet suspended for analysis; (2) 1.0 um mixed cellulose ester (MCE) membranes were used to filter sample material; and (3), 1.2 um polyethersulfone (PES) membranes were used to filter sample material. Parameters described in this data release include qPCR results and associated quality assurance measurements from the mesocosm water samples.
Dreissenid mussel eDNA results for streamgage water samples in the Columbia and Colorado River basin
공공데이터포털
Environmental DNA results for water samples collected at USGS streamgages in the Columbia and Colorado river basins. Water samples were collected by USGS hydrologic technicians May - September 2018 and analyzed for presence of dreissenid mussel DNA. In this dataset, we report quantitative PCR results for each streamgage locations.
PCR results from dreissenid mussel round robin assay analyses, 2018-2019
공공데이터포털
Real-time PCR results of a round robin evaluation of 5 assays that target dreissenid mussel DNA. Water samples collected from waters with and without dreissenid mussels were analyzed using these five assays in four USGS laboratories. Samples from waters without dreissenid mussels were spiked with known amounts of dreissend DNA.

Upper Mississippi River native mussel sampling quadrat 10-meter radius hydrologically-enforced buffers and associated landscape metric calculations
공공데이터포털
A systematic sampling design was developed to sample mussels in Upper Mississippi River navigation Pools 3, 5, 6, 8, 13 and 18. Hydrologically-enforced buffers were created at a hierarchy of scales to better determine the extent of influence on mussel population assemblages. Buffers were generated using a radii of 10 meters from the quadrat site point. Several landscape metrics related to the buffer shape, underlying water depth at several modeled river discharges, aquatic vegetation presence, river training structure presence, topographic position, aquatic area classification, adjacent land use types, and wind fetch magnitude were then calculated to help assess which of these metrics/indices are predictive of the distribution, abundance, diversity, and recruitment of native mussels across these six pools in the Upper Mississippi River.
