CTD data from research vessel New Horizon in the NE Pacific from 2009-12-15 to 2009-12-20 (NCEI Accession 0156689)
The expedition by research vessel New Horizon from 15 to 20 December 2009 had the objective to recover and re-deploy a number of moored platforms off southern California. To calibrate and validate the mooring data, 7 CTD casts were done, data of which are reported here. The data have been quality-controlled and adjusted using water sample data, and the raw CTD data files are included as well. The water sample data are available separately at NCEI under accession number 0146024.

To calibrate and validate the mooring data, four CTD casts with salinity water samples were collected; these data are reported here. Conductivity, Temperature and Depth (CTD) and other data were collected in NE Pacific (limit-180) as part of "Search for direct evidence of sulphur quenching of biomass, etc." project funded by NSF grant OCE 9203292. Data was collected from Ships NEW HORIZON, POINT SUR and WECOMA. The data was collected over a period spanning from October 2, 1993 to April 12, 1994. CTD data from 12 stations was submitted in three diskettes by Dr. Frederick Prahl of Oregon State University, Corvallis, OR.
