Fish distribution and tidal currents in the Upper San Francisco Estuary (ver. 3.0, March 2025)
공공데이터포털
This data release includes field data for fishes sampled through mid-water trawls and otter trawl methods from Suisun Bay, California to the mouth of the Sacramento River. These data were collected in August through September, 2022; October of 2023; and in September, 2024 as a part of a multi-year study of Suisun Dredging and Fish Distribution (SDFD). This data release includes quantitative data on collected fish taxa and environmental conditions focused on habitat differences between shipping channels and shoals. Sampling was done using short duration (~15 minute) trawls alongside associated water quality sample and Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP) data collected at variable locations, depths, times, and currents.

Nearshore marine fish diversity in southern California using trawl information from the Southern California Coastal Water Research Project.
공공데이터포털
This is a point file of mean fish diversity within 5 minute grid cells. The Shannon Index of diversity was calculated from Southern California Coastal Water Research Project (SCCWRP) fish trawl data. Data from 425 fishery independent trawls ranging from 2-215 meters depth were collected in 1994 and 1998 during the months of June-August. Using ArcGIS, 5 x 5 minute grids were created and mean diversity was calculated for each grid cell containing data. Gear included a 7.6-m head-rope semi balloon otter trawl with 1.25 cm codend mesh trawled for 5-10 minutes at each station. Including all fish identified to the species level resulted in 150 fish species. For more information on trawl methods, see Allen et al. (1997), and Allen et al. (2003).
Distribution and stomach contents of fishes in the northern Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta, 2020-2022
공공데이터포털
This data set includes count, location, and ancillary habitat data for fishes sampled in adjacent reaches of Georgiana Slough, Sacramento River, and Steamboat Slough in the northern Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta. It also includes data on the stomach contents of selected individual black basses (Micropterus). Fishes were sampled by boat electrofishing from approximately January-May, 2020-2022, plus gillnetting in 2020. Samples were collected under a stratified random sampling design. Gillnetting involved short duration (~60 minute) sets of monofilament experimental gill nets. Boat electrofishing involved either single or repeated passes along an individual 300 m shoreline transect. Stomach contents data are from fishes that were frozen whole immediately upon collection and later processed in a laboratory.
