WATER TEMPERATURE and Other Data from DRIFTING BUOY From World-Wide Distribution from 1991-01-01 to 1991-03-31 (NCEI Accession 9100101)
공공데이터포털
Drifting Buoy Data from the Canadian Data Center, submitted by Mr. Gerald P Lesblam, Marine Environmental Data Service (MEDS) Ottawa, Ontario, Canada in GF-3 format (January 1 -March 31, 1991). This entry references the data as converted to NODC F156 Format by Robert Stein (E/OC13). Only those data which did not duplicate existing archived data were added to the NODC archives. This set is the entire Canadian submission, in NODC'S F156 Format.
WATER TEMPERATURE and Other Data from 1992-08-01 to 1993-09-30 (NCEI Accession 9600022)
공공데이터포털
The drifting buoy data from 28 drifting buoys in this accession was collected as part of Coupled Ocean-Atmosphere Response Experiment (COARE) over a one year period between August 1, 1992 and September 30, 1993. Six French BODEGA drifters (SERPE-IESM, GUIDEL, 56, FRANCE TRISTAR) were deployed in August 1992 along the 165E meridian and in September 1992 along 156E. Seventeen additional BODEGA surface drifters were deployed in December 1992 and January/February 1993 from R/V Le Noroit along 156E, 4S-5N during the COARE Intensive Observation Period. Deployments were coordinated with a set of surface drifters that were released by Peter Niiler from the University of California, San Diego. Data was submitted by Yves Du Penhoat, Office de la Recherche Scientifique et Technique Outre Mer (ORSTOM), Noumea, New Caledonia via FTP. The data is accompanied by good description regarding format etc.
Water depth from drifting buoys in the Arctic Ocean and Beaufort Sea from 1988-12-28 to 1989-12-31 (NCEI Accession 9100036)
공공데이터포털
The drifting buoy data in this accession was collected over a one year period from buoys deployed by National Data Buoy Center, Stennis Space Center, MS. The data was collected in Bering Sea from December 28, 1988 to December 31, 1989. The water depth and other Lagrangian drifting buoy data submitted by Mr. Eric A. Meindl in a tape has been processed by NODC and is currently available in F156 Drifting Buoy file format.
Drifting buoy data observed during 1985 through 1989 and assembled by the Responsible National Oceanographic Data Center (RNODC) for Drifting Buoy Data (NCEI Accession 9100057)
공공데이터포털
Physical and meteorological data were collected from drifting buoys from a World-Wide distribution from 2 January 1985 to 31 December 1989. Data were processed by NODC to the NODC standard F156 Drifting Buoy Data format. The F156 format is used for time series data on ocean circulation determined by the tracking of drifting buoys, drogues, or other instrumented devices as they are carried with the flow. Movement is reported as point-to-point geographic locations determined by shore-based, surface ship, aircraft, or satellite observations. Data from both ocean currents and ice movement can be reported in this format over time periods ranging from minutes to months. Directions and speeds between individual observations may be computed from these data and presented in graphic or summary listing form to provide information on circulation patterns and mass transport in offshore and near- shore regions. Platform name (for platform acquiring data or deploying device), drogue characteristics, start and end positions and times, and observation frequency (if constant time interval) are reported for each series of observation. Other surface meteorological or oceanographic parameters (e.g., water temperature and salinity, air temperature and pressure, wind, waves) and subsurface data (depth, pressure, temperature) may also be reported. Text records may be used to report general comments or to describe individual drogue observations.
