1970's Mosaic of Aerial Photography of the Salt River Bay National Historical Park and Ecological Preserve
Aerial photographs taken by NOAA's National Geodetic Survey during 1977 and 1971 were mosaicked and orthorectified by the Biogeography Branch resulting in a single composite mosaic of both years of photography. The resulting image was used to digitize benthic, land cover and mangrove habitat maps of the Salt River Bay National Historic Park and Ecological Preserve (National Park Service), on St. Croix, in the U.S. Virgin Islands. The composite, rather than a single year mosaic, was used because the northward extent and water clarity of photos from any single year were inadequate for the project objectives. The mosaic is centered on the National Park Service Site, located on the north central coast of St. Croix, and extends beyond the park boundaries approximately 3 km to the south, 6 km to the west, 4.5 km to the east, and 0.5 km to the north.

Salt Marsh Habitats, Rhode Island, 2012
공공데이터포털
This data set consists of salt marsh habitats for the state of Rhode Island derived from high resolution (0.5m) imagery collecting during June 2012. This data set utilized 4 Band multispectral aerial orthoimagery contributed to RIGIS by the Rhode Island Eelgrass Mapping Taskforce [(c) 2012 RIGIS] and LiDAR data collected through the LiDAR for the NorthEast project (2011).
2015 NOAA NGS Ortho-rectified Color Mosaic of Buzzards Bay, MA
공공데이터포털
This data set contains ortho-rectified mosaic tiles, created as a product from the NOAA Integrated Ocean and Coastal Mapping (IOCM) initiative. The source imagery was acquired on 20151108 with an Applanix Digital Sensor System (DSS). The original images were acquired at a higher resolution to support the final ortho-rectified mosaic.
1970's Seagrass and Mangrove Habitats of the Salt River Bay National Historical Park and Ecological Preserve, St. Croix, USVI
공공데이터포털
Habitat maps were created as part of a larger ecological assessment conducted by NOAA's National Ocean Service (NOS), Biogeography Program, for Salt River Bay National Historic Park and Ecological Preserve (National Park Service). Aerial photographs were obtained for 1971 and 1977 from the National Geodetic Survey, and were orthorectified by the Biogeography Program. A classification scheme was set up with 20 benthic habitat types, 19 land cover types, and 13 mangrove habitat types. For this map of seagrass and mangrove habitats during the 1970' s only the 3 seagrass, and 14 mangrove classification categories were used. These were mapped directly into a GIS system through visual interpretation of orthorectified aerial photographs.
