This dataset includes chemical, meteorological, physical and surface underway data collected Ships of Opportunity (SOOP) M/V Lillooet cruises in the North and South Pacific Ocean from 1983-11-30 to 1988-02-20. These data include AIR TEMPERATURE - DRY BULB, AIR TEMPERATURE - WET BULB, BAROMETRIC PRESSURE, CARBON DIOXIDE - AIR, Partial pressure (or fugacity) of carbon dioxide, RELATIVE HUMIDITY, SALINITY, SEA SURFACE TEMPERATURE and WIND SPEED. The instruments used to collect these data include gas chromatograph. These data were collected by C. S. Wong of Climate Chemistry Laboratory, OSAP, Institute of Ocean Sciences as part of the Lillooet, Vancouver to Australia Cruises, 1983-1988 dataset.

This dataset consists of the surface underway measurements of mole fraction of CO2 in the equilibrator headspace (dry) at equilibrator temperature (ppm), mole fraction of CO2 measured in dry outside air (ppm), mole fraction of CO2 in outside air associated with each water analysis. These values are interpolated between the bracketing averaged good xCO2_ATM analyses (ppm), barometric pressure in the equilibrator headspace (hPa), barometric pressure measured outside, corrected to sea level (hPa), water temperature in equilibrator (°C), sea surface temperature (°C), sea surface salinity, fugacity of CO2 in sea water at SST and 100% humidity (μatm), fugacity of CO2 in air corresponding to the interpolated xCO2 at SST and 100% humidity (μatm), sea water fCO2 minus interpolated air fCO2 (μatm). The measurement were performed during the SOOP National Geographic Islander II cruises in the Equatorial Pacific Ocean in 2024.

Cruise names and expocodes: CB2017_01 (AG5W20170115), CB2017_03 (AG5W20170312), CB2017_05 (AG5W20170507), CB2017_11 (AG5W20171117). Since 1992, underway CO2 observations have been made between New Zealand and the U.S. West Coast. In 2010, ISFET-based pH measurements (total scale) were added to this equatorial Pacific SOOP-based time-series. All pH data, when available, are reported on the total scale and at SST. This effort was conducted with the support of NOAA's Ocean Observing and Monitoring Division in the Climate Program Office (CPO) and NOAA's Ocean Acidification Program (OAP).

This dataset includes surface underway, chemical, meteorological and physical data collected from M/S New Century 2 in the Pacific Ocean from 2024-01-01 to 2024-10-28. These data include absolute humidity, air temperature, air-sea difference - partial pressure of carbon dioxide, barometric pressure, partial pressure of carbon dioxide - atmosphere, partial pressure of carbon dioxide - water, relative humidity, sea surface salinity, sea surface temperature and wind direction and speed.
