ENOW 2015: Ocean Economy State Statistics
This dataset summarizes 2015 Ocean Economy employment statistics for the U.S. coastal states by breaking down each ocean economic indicator per each ocean sector. The dataset also provides percent employment and percent GDP by sector. This percentage is a percent of the ocean sector compared to the total Ocean Economy for each state. This information was harvested from the Economics: National Ocean Watch (ENOW) time-series data on the ocean and Great Lakes economy, derived from the Bureau of Labor Statistics and the Bureau of Economic Analysis. ENOW data measures four economic indicators: Establishments, Employment, Wages, and Gross Domestic Product (GDP) for six economic sectors that are dependent on the oceans and Great Lakes, including: Marine Construction, Living Resources, Offshore Mineral Extraction, Ship and Boat Building, Tourism and Recreation, and Marine Transportation.

Aquaculture
공공데이터포털
These data show the location of aquaculture operations within coastal and offshore waters of the United States. Aquaculture types may include aquatic organisms such as fish, crustaceans, mollusks, and aquatic plants. Records were acquired from multiple sources, however source data was not available from all coastal states.
North Atlantic Right Whale Seasonal Management Areas
공공데이터포털
These data represent Seasonal Management Area locations where regulations implement speed restrictions in shipping areas at certain times of the year along the coast of the U.S. Atlantic seaboard. The purpose of the regulations is to reduce the likelihood of deaths and serious injuries to endangered North Atlantic right whales that result from collisions with ships as designated by 73 FR 60173, October 10, 2008, Rules and Regulations. Sunset clause removed 78 FR 34245, June 16, 2014. The effective date of this rule is December 6, 2013.
South Carolina 2015 ESI RESOURCE MANAGEMENT Polygons, Points
공공데이터포털
This data set contains vector polygons depicting commercial and recreational fishing areas, and critical and essential habitats. It contains vector points representing locations of artificial reefs, repeated measurement sites, and water intakes in South Carolina. As a whole, the ESI data characterize the marine and coastal environments and wildlife by their sensitivity to spilled oil, and include information for three main components: shoreline habitats, sensitive biological resources, and human-use resources. The entirety of the South Carolina ESI Human-Use data layers consists of: PARKS-MANAGED AREAS Polygons, Points; NAVIGATION-MARINE Polygons, Points, Lines; POLITICAL-JURISDICTIONAL Polygons, Points; RESOURCE MANAGEMENT Polygons, Points; SOCECON Polygons, Points, Lines; and NATURAL HAZARD Polygons.
Coastal Counties
공공데이터포털
This dataset represents US counties and independent cities which have at least one coastal border and select non-coastal counties and independent cities based on proximity to estuaries and other coastal counties.
North Carolina 2016 ESI NAVIGATION/MARINE Polygons, Lines, Points
공공데이터포털
This data set contains vector polygons depicting locations for anchorages, vector lines depicting locations for shipping lanes and ferry routes, and vector points depicting locations for beach access locations, boat ramps, ferry locations, marinas, and ports in North Carolina. Location-specific type and source information are stored in associated data tables (described below) designed to be used in conjunction with this spatial data layer. This data set is a portion of the ESI data for North Carolina. As a whole, the ESI data characterize the marine and coastal environments and wildlife by their sensitivity to spilled oil, and include information for three main components: shoreline habitats, sensitive biological resources, and human-use resources. See also the PARKS/MANAGED AREAS (POINTS and POLYGONS), NAVIGATION/MARINE (POINTS and POLYGONS), POLITICAL/JURISDICTIONAL (LINES and POLYGONS), RESOURCE MANAGEMENT (POINTS and POLYGONS), and NAT_HAZARD (POLYGONS) data layers for additional human-use information.
H08260: NOS Hydrographic Survey
공공데이터포털
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has the statutory mandate to collect hydrographic data in support of nautical chart compilation for safe navigation and to provide background data for engineers, scientific, and other commercial and industrial activities. Hydrographic survey data primarily consist of water depths, but may also include features (e.g. rocks, wrecks), navigation aids, shoreline identification, and bottom type information. NOAA is responsible for archiving and distributing the source data as described in this metadata record.
Chesapeake Bay and the Outer Coasts of Maryland and Virginia 2016 HYDRO Lines
공공데이터포털
This data set contains vector lines representing coastal hydrography used in the creation of the Environmental Sensitivity Index (ESI) for Chesapeake Bay and the Outer Coasts of Maryland and Virginia. This data set comprises a portion of the ESI data for Chesapeake Bay and the Outer Coasts of Maryland and Virginia. ESI data characterize the marine and coastal environments and wildlife by their sensitivity to spilled oil. The ESI data include information for three main components: shoreline habitats, sensitive biological resources, and human-use resources. See also the HYDROP data layer, part of the larger Chesapeake Bay and the Outer Coasts of Maryland and Virginia ESI database, for additional ESI information.
New Hampshire / Southern Maine Ocean Uses Atlas: Industrial sector
공공데이터포털
The Ocean Uses Atlas Project is an innovative partnership between the Coastal Response Research Center (CRRC) and NOAA's Office of Ocean and Coastal Resource Management (OCRM). The Project was designed to enhance ocean management through geospatial data on the full range of significant human uses of the ocean environment from the shorelines of New Hampshire and Southern Maine to the EEZ boundary. The data were gathered from regional ocean experts and users through participatory GIS methods. For more information on the project scope, background and related data products, please visit http://www.crrc.unh.edu/workshops/ocean_uses/index.html or https://coast.noaa.gov/arcgis/rest/services/MarineCadastre/OceanUsesNewHampshireMaine/MapServer.
