Model-based analyses of thermal/salinity conditions in the TOGA Area - Pacific (30 N to 30 S) Ocean between January 10, 1990 and October 8, 1990. The model was developed by Dr. Ants Leetmaa of the Climate Analysis Center, National Weather Service, Camp Springs, MD. The area covered is 120E to 070W and 045S to 055N. This thermal/salinity based Ocean Circulation analysis model is being used at the Climate Analysis Center to provide monthly hindcasts of oceanographic conditions in the tropical pacific.

The data was collected by University of Southern California, Pacific Marine Environmental Laboratory and National Data Buoy Center (NDBC) from April 9, 1991 to May 8, 1995. The current meter data from arrays EP26-EP29 was submitted by NDBC via Sid Stillwaugh to NODC.

공공데이터포털
Physical, meteorological, and other data were collected from FIXED PLATFORMS in the TOGA Area - Pacific (30 N to 30 S) from 01 January 1988 to 31 December 1988. Data was submitted by the Pacific Marine Environmental Laboratory (PMEL) as part of the Tropical Ocean Global Atmosphere (TOGA) project. Data were obtained from an Atlas mooring and parameters include surface temperature, wind direction components, sea surface temperature, and water temperature at 10 discrete depths to 500 meters.
Current meter data from moored current meter casts in the TOGA Area - Pacific (30 N to 30 S) as part of the Equatorial Pacific Ocean Climate Studies (EPOCS) project from 1988-05-24 to 1989-05-26 (NCEI Accession 9100207)
공공데이터포털
Current meter data were collected using moored current meter casts in the TOGA Area - Pacific (30 N to 30 S) from 24 May 1988 to 26 May 1989. Data were submitted by Pacific Marine Environmental Laboratory (PMEL) with support from the Equatorial Pacific Ocean Climate Studies (EPOCS) project. Data were processed by NODC to the NODC standard Current Meter Data (F015) format. The F015 format is used for time series measurements of ocean currents. These data are obtained from current meter moorings and represent Eulerian method of current measurement, i.e., the meters are deployed at a fixed point and measure flow past a sensor. Position, bottom depth, sensor depth, and meter characteristics are reported for each station. The data record comprises values of east-west (u) and north-south (v) current vector components at specified date and time. Current direction is defined as the direction toward which the water is flowing with positive directions east and north and negative directions west and south. Data values may be subject to averaging or filtering and are typically reported at 10-15 minute time intervals. Water temperature, pressure, and conductivity or salinity may also be reported. A text record is available for optional comments.
