NCCOS mapping: seafloor mapping products for the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary from 2004-01-01 to 2019-09-22 (NCEI Accession 0170215)
공공데이터포털
This dataset is an inventory of seafloor mapping data from hydrographic multibeam sonar surveys and georeferenced benthic photographs and video clips, all collected in and around the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary (FKNMS). The multibeam data sets contain both bathymetric and backscatter data for the FKNMS and adjacent areas in the Atlantic Ocean, bounded to the North by the Florida Keys, and contain detailed surveys of various portions of FKNMS such as the Dry Tortugas and Tortugas Bank areas. Underwater video and photographs for ground validation were acquired during research cruises in the FKNMS. All of these datasets can be visualized online in the 2nd edition of the FKNMS Digital Atlas.
NCCOS Mapping: Merged Bathymetry Data in the Channel Islands National Marine Sanctuary for Benthic Habitat Mapping from 1998 to 2022 (NCEI Accession 0304093)
공공데이터포털
We created merged bathymetry surfaces segmented in GeoTiff format by resolution and depth within the Channel Islands National Marine Sanctuary (CINMS) from more than 20 multibeam mapping surveys. These bathymetry data were collected between 1998 and 2022 by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), United States Geological Survey (USGS), Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute (MBARI) California State University, Monterey Bay (CSUMB) and Ocean Exploration Trust (OET). Bathymetry data collected by institutions outside of NOAA are reference to overlapping NOAA hydrographic surveys using an average depth difference correction. The merged bathymetric surface resolutions varied by depth from 2x2m in <40m, 4x4m in 36 to 80 m, 8x8m in 72 to 160m, 16x16m in 144 to 320m and to 24x24m in >300m. They can be used to create high-resolution, nearly continuous coverage benthic habitat maps within the CINMS.
Water Depth and acoustic backscatter data collected from NOAA Ship Nancy Foster in the US Caribbean/ Puerto Rico and St. Thomas from 2016-04-07 to 2016-04-26 (NCEI Accession 0157612)
공공데이터포털
NOAA's NOS/NCCOS/CCMA Biogeography Team, in collaboration with NOAA Ship Nancy Foster, federal, academic, and private sector partners conducted the 2016 Seafloor Mapping of the US Caribbean project. Several areas of interest were explored and surveyed during the field mission in the eastern Puerto Rico region. H12935 was conducted on along the southeastern Puerto Rican shelf edge using a deep water Em 710 multibeam echo sounder (mbes) at 100khz. H12936 was conducted north of the Isla de Culebra over the broad moderately shallow insular shelf using a 400 khz Reson 7125 mbes. A third opportunistic survey was conducted along the edge of the USVI insular shelf south of St. Thomas to conjoin previous NOAA Ship Nancy Foster mission surveys. During the field mission, a Remotely Operated Vehicle owned by the University of North Carolina collected HD photo and video ground validation video. Data was processed by a NOAA contractor using CARIS HIPS software. Data has all correctors applied (attitude, sound velocity) and has been reduced to mean lower low water (MLLW) using final approved tides from NOAA COOPS. Data is spatially referenced in UTM Zone 20 North, Datum WGS84. The project was conducted to meet IHO order 1 and 2 accuracy standards, dependent on the project area and depth. All users should individually evaluate the suitability of this data according to their own needs and standards.
