The Conductivity, Temperature and Depth (CTD) and other data were collected in NE Pacific (limit-180) as part of Eastern Boundary Currents Accelerated Research Initiative. Data was collected from Ship WECOMA cruises # W9306A and W9308B. The data was collected over a period spanning from June 7, 1993 to September 20, 1993. Conventional CTD data from 100 casts and 165 segments (stations) of towed SEASOAR CTD data was submitted by Dr. Adrianna Huyer, Oregon State University, Corvallis OR. Four files of data and two Data Documentation Form files were received by NODC.

This dataset is CTD data collected with a Neil Brown CTD Model Mark IIIb from R/V WECOMA from Mar/17/82 to Apr/4/82. Data has been processed by NODC to the NODC standard High-Resolution CTD/STD (F022) format. The F022 format contains high-resolution data collected using CTD (conductivity-temperature-depth) and STD (salinity-temperature-depth) instruments. As they are lowered and raised in the oceans, these electronic devices provide nearly continuous profiles of temperature, salinity, and other parameters. Data values may be subject to averaging or filtering or obtained by interpolation and may be reported at depth intervals as fine as 1m. Cruise and instrument information, position, date, time and sampling interval are reported for each station. Environmental data at the time of the cast (meteorological and sea surface conditions) may also be reported. The data record comprises values of temperature, salinity or conductivity, density (computed sigma-t), and possibly dissolved oxygen or transmissivity at specified depth or pressure levels. Data may be reported at either equally or unequally spaced depth or pressure intervals. A text record is available for comments.

Raw Data from 7 CTD casts using "SEABIRD" was submitted via FTP by Dr. Frederick Prahl of Oregon State University, Corvallis OR. The study was funded by NSF Grant # OCE 9203292.

CTD (depth, temperature, conductivity) data, plus fluorescence and light transmission data, collected as part of SLIX (Surface Biological Oil Slick Experiment) by the R/V WECOMA in the eastern north Pacific between October 8, 1989 and October 27, 1989. All data were submitted on a floppy disc as ASCII files in a columnar format. The file README.DOC describes the data collection and recording methods. Principal Investigator was Dr. David Carlson of Oregon State University Location. CTD data were collected with a Neil Brown MK III; this data has been processed and archived by NODC in F022-CTD Hi resolution file format.

This dataset contains the surface underway pCO2 data of the first dedicated West Coast Ocean Acidification cruise (WCOA2011). The cruise took place August 12-30, 2011 aboard the R/V Wecoma. Ninety-five stations were occupied from northern Washington to southern California along thirteen transect lines. At all stations, CTD casts were conducted, and discrete water samples were collected in Niskin bottles. Underway measurements of pCO2 were collected during the duration of the cruise. The cruise was designed to obtain a synoptic snapshot of key carbon, physical, and biogeochemical parameters as they relate to ocean acidification (OA) in the coastal realm. During the cruise, some of the same transect lines were occupied as during the 2007 West Coast Carbon cruise, as well as many CalCOFI stations. This effort was conducted in support of the coastal monitoring and research objectives of the NOAA Ocean Acidification Program (OAP).
