40Ar/39Ar data from the Janub Metamorphic Complex, Southern Jordan. U.S. Geological Survey Data Release
This data release includes 40Ar/39Ar collected at the U.S. Geological Survey for samples from the Janub Metamorphic Complex in Southern Jordan. Rock samples were collected by Hind Ghanem of the University of Jordan. Muscovite-rich microcores were drilled from a polished thick section of a deformed granitoid and analyzed by argon geochronology at the U.S. Geological Survey Bascom ARgon Dating (BARD) Laboratory in Reston, Virginia. The 40Ar/39Ar data constrain the timing of formation of the foliation defined by muscovite.

40Ar/39Ar isotopic data from Northwestern Tip of the Arabian-Nubian Shield, Jordan
공공데이터포털
This data release includes 40Ar/39Ar collected at the U.S. Geological Survey for samples from the northwestern tip of the Arabian-Nubian Shield in Jordan. Rock samples were collected by Hind Ghanem from the University of Jordan. Microcores composed of intergrown sericite and albite and an amphibole mineral separate were analyzed by 40Ar/39Ar geochronology at the U.S. Geological Survey Bascom Argon Dating (BARD) Laboratory in Reston, Virginia.
40Ar/39Ar data from the Gidami gold deposit, Egypt
공공데이터포털
This data release includes 40Ar/39Ar data from the U.S. Geological Survey for samples from the Gidami gold deposit in the Eastern Desert of Egypt. Rock samples were collected by Basem Zoheir--Benha University/University of Kiel. Potassium-bearing mineral grains were separated from the bulk sample and analyzed by argon geochronology at the U.S. Geological Survey Bascom ARgon Dating (BARD) Laboratory in Reston, Virginia. The data constrain the timing of gold mineralization in the Gidami gold deposit.
Geochemistry, thin section images, and 40Ar/39Ar isotopic data of selected bedrock samples in the Orange-Milford Belt, Connecticut
공공데이터포털
This data release contains geochemical data, thin section images, and 40Ar/39Ar isotopic data from bedrock samples in the Orange-Milford Belt of south-central Connecticut. The geochemical data comprise whole-rock major oxide and trace element abundances in 111 samples. Pairs of images in plane-polarized light and cross-polarized light are included for 90 thin sections. Step-heated 40Ar/39Ar analyses of mineral separates/concentrates from 10 different hand samples are also included and comprise 8 analyses of muscovite/sericite, 3 analyses of potassium feldspar, and 2 analyses of actinolite.
U-Pb data for: Monazite and cassiterite U-Pb dating of the Abu Dabbab rare-metal granite, Egypt: Late Cryogenian metalliferous granite magmatism in the Arabian-Nubian Shield
공공데이터포털
Cassiterite (SnO2) samples were collected from alluvial ore concentrate from the Abu Dabbab Granite in eastern Egypt. Samples (in the form of mounted loose grains) were prepared and analyzed for direct age dating on a laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer (LA-ICPMS) system at the U.S. Geological Survey in Denver, Colorado in February 2019. This data release accompanies the publication, 'Monazite and cassiterite U-Pb dating of the Abu Dabbab rare-metal granite, Egypt: Late Cryogenian metalliferous granite magmatism in the Arabian-Nubian Shield.' (Lehmann and others, 2020). The publication constrains the timing of the magmatic-hydrothermal processes of the Abu Dabbab Granite which represents the oldest, highly-evolved granite recognized thus far in the Pan-African Arabian-Nubian Shield.

Argon data for HD-B1 intercalibration
공공데이터포털
This data release includes 40Ar/39Ar intercalibration data from the U.S. Geological Survey for neutron fluence monitors HD-B1 (Heidelberg biotite) and FCs (Fish Canyon sanidine). Potassium-bearing mineral grains were analyzed by argon geochronology at the U.S. Geological Survey Argon Geochronology Laboratory in Denver, Colorado. These data provide intercalibration information between the two fluence monitors.

Ar isotope data for volcanic rocks from the northern Harrat Rahat volcanic field and surrounding area, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
공공데이터포털
The data are the results of mass spectrometer experiments to measure 40Ar/39Ar ages of groundmass and mineral separates from volcanic rocks in northern Harrat Rahat, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The data were collected using a MAP216 noble gas mass spectrometer at the USGS facility in Menlo Park, Calif. These data were collected as part of a collaborative study conducted by the U.S. Geological Survey and Saudi Geological survey to assess the volcanic and seismic hazards associated with the northern Harrat Rahat volcanic field.
