Forage Fish Morphology Data from Prince William Sound, Alaska
공공데이터포털
These data are part of the Gulf Watch Alaska (GWA) long term monitoring program, pelagic monitoring component. This dataset consists of one table, providing fish morphology data from summer surveys in Prince William Sound, Alaska. Data includes: date, time, latitude, longitude, fishing method, fish common name, total length, fork length, weight, and whether or not that fish was saved. Various catch methods were used to obtain fish samples for aerial and hydroacoustic validations, including: modified herring trawl, purse seine, beach seine, gillnet, cast net, dip net, and jig.
Alaska Forage Fish Database (AFFD)
공공데이터포털
The Alaska Forage Fish Database (AFFD) is a consolidation of survey data from multiple agencies that were sampled via fishing gear and predator diets. The spatial coverage includes the Gulf of Alaska, Bering Sea, Aleutian Islands, Chukchi Sea, and Beaufort Sea. Fish species within the database include Pacific sand lance, Pacific capelin, Pacific herring, juvenile walleye pollock and Pacific cod, myctophid, squid, and euphausiid. The data package is comprised of six tables: (1) catch_table includes counts, weight, and individual morphological characteristics (length, sex, age) of the sampled species; (2) event_table includes sampling time, location, and methods; (3) gear_table includes specifics about of the gear used for sampling when applicable; (4-5) two tables with taxonomic designations for forage species or predator species; and (6) a reference table that provides summary information about each contributed dataset.

Fish Communities of the Nearshore Beaufort Sea, Alaska, Across Three Decades, 1988-2019
공공데이터포털
This dataset contains two tables comprising catch per unit effort (CPUE) data and length measurements from fish surveys conducted in the nearshore Beaufort Sea, Alaska, between 1988 and 2019. Historical data collected by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) includes fish catch and fish length data (measured from a subset of the total catch) from two eras, 1988-1991 and 2003-2005, in the eastern Beaufort Sea (Arctic National Wildlife Refuge). Similar data was collected by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) from a subset of the historical eastern Beaufort Sea sites and some additional central Beaufort Sea (Simpson Lagoon and Stefansson Sound) sites more recently, 2017-2019. Here we have compiled and standardized datasets from the three eras of fish surveys.
Hydroacoustic Survey Data from Lower Cook Inlet, Alaska
공공데이터포털
This dataset consists of one table with Area Backscattering Coefficient (ABC) data from hydroacoustic transect surveys collected around two seabird nesting colonies on Gull and Chisik Islands in lower Cook Inlet, Alaska.
Fish Species Composition and Diet Information in Lakes of the Arctic Coastal Plain, Alaska, 2011-2013
공공데이터포털
This dataset provides information on fish species composition and their diet information for 16 lakes and 16 ponds at two locations on the central Arctic Coastal Plain, Alaska. In one table, we provide the presence of fish species and the total species count for each lake or pond sampled. This table also includes metrics of surface water connectivity to the stream network. In a second table, stomach content information is provided for fish collected during summer sampling periods (late June to mid-August) over three years (2011–2013). The third table includes stable carbon isotope and stable nitrogen isotope signature data for fish species and snails (the baseline organism) from 16 water bodies at one study location in 2013.
Fish Nutritional Quality, Biomarkers, Communities, and Environmental Data from the Nearshore Beaufort Sea, Alaska, 2021-2023
공공데이터포털
This data release contains information derived from fishing efforts and sampled fish from the nearshore Beaufort Sea, Alaska, 2021-2023, as part of a study investigating red-throated loon productivity and diet. The datasets include six tables comprising 1) catch per unit effort (CPUE) data, 2) field-measured lengths of fish (mm), 3) the energy density (kJ/g) and whole-body energy (kJ) of 16 species of forage-sized fish (≤200 mm), 4) taxonomic details of captured fish, 5) temperature (°C), raw electrical conductivity (μS/cm), and salinity (psu) as recorded by data loggers, and 6) the specifications of surface trawl fishing sets.
