Gulf of Mexico Region NAD27 Supplemental Official Protraction Diagrams and Lease Maps Images
공공데이터포털
This data set contains Supplemental Official OCS Block Diagram (SOBD) images in Adobe pdf format for areas within the BOEM Gulf of Mexico Region. Each SOBD describes a single block within an Official Protraction Diagram (OPD) or Leasing Map (LM) and shows the lines (Submerged Lands Act, Limit of '8(g) Zone', maritime boundaries and/or marine sanctuaries) which occur within that block and divide it into different areas. The SOBD contains additional coordinates and area calculations for an individual block. These data are scanned images of the official paper SOBD's produced by the BOEM. Note that not all OPDs have boundaries cutting through them, so not all OPDs will have SOBDs generated for them. All current leasing activities will be done using the most current SOBDs. Historical (outdated) SOBDs can be obtained by contacting the Geospatial Services Division. Also see the metadata for each of the individual GIS files used to create these SOBDs. The Official Protraction Diagrams (OPDs) and Supplemental Official Block Diagrams (SOBDs), serve as the legal definition for BOEM offshore boundary coordinates and area descriptions. Further information on the historic development of OPD's can be found in OCS Report BOEM 99-0006: Boundary Development on the Outer Continental Shelf: https://www.boem.gov/uploadedFiles/BOEM/Oil_and_Gas_Energy_Program/Mapping_and_Data/99-0006.pdf
Outer Continental Shelf Official Protraction Diagrams and Lease Maps - Gulf of Mexico Region NAD27
공공데이터포털
This file is based on the Geospatial Services Division's Official Protraction Diagram (OPD)and Leasing Maps (LM). Each offshore area is defined by an API Number corresponding to those in the API Bulletin Number D12A. OPDs are numbered using the United Nations International Map of the World Numbering System, and are generally named for land or hydrographic features contained within the limits of the diagram. This data set contains Official Protraction Diagram (OPD) and Leasing Map (LM) outlines in ESRI shape file formats for the BOEM Gulf of Mexico Region. The use of OPDs and LMs makes it easier to refer to individual blocks within a region or planning area. These diagrams were clipped along the Submerged Lands Act (SLA) boundary and along lines contained in the Continental Shelf Boundaries (CSB) GIS data files to show only those blocks or portions thereof within federal jurisdiction. Because GIS projection and topology functions can change or generalize coordinates, these GIS files are NOT an OFFICIAL record for the exact OPD boundaries. Only the paper OPD or a digital image of them serves as OFFICIAL records.Official Protraction Diagrams and other cadastre information the BOEM produces are generated in accordance with 30 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 556.8 Subpart A, (formerly Part 256.8 Subpart A (2010)) to support Federal land ownership and mineral resource management. Further information on the SLA and development of this line from baseline points can be found in OCS Report BOEM 99-0006: Boundary Development on the Outer Continental Shelf. https://www.boem.gov/BOEM-Newsroom/Library/Publications/1999/99-0006-pdf.aspx Because GIS projection and topology functions can change or generalize coordinates, and because shapefiles cannot represent true arcs, these GIS files are considered to be approximate and are NOT an OFFICIAL record for the exact block coordinates or areas. The Official Protraction Diagrams (OPDs)and Leasing Maps (LMs) and Supplemental Official Block Diagrams (SOBDs) serve as the legal definition for BOEM offshore boundary coordinates and area descriptions and can be found at the following location: https://www.boem.gov/Official-Protraction-Diagrams/. Contains the protraction polygons clipped on the fedstate (SLA-Boundary) as of March 15, 2013. Used ArcCatalog to create shape files.
2019-2024 OCS Oil and Gas Leasing Draft Proposed Program - All Areas
공공데이터포털
The Exclusion Option Areas for the 2019-2024 Draft Proposed Program are areas that the Secretary of the Interior has included for additional analysis and consideration in the 2019-2024 National Outer Continental Shelf Oil and Gas Leasing Proposed Program. The final decision on areas to be offered for oil and gas lease sales is scheduled to occur in late 2019. If an Exclusion Option Area is chosen as part of the final oil and gas lease sale decision, no lease sales will be offered in that area.
Alaska OCS - Historical Leases
공공데이터포털
This data set contains the outlines for active and inactive federal oil and gas leases in the Alaska OCS Region through Sale 244. This file represents the active leases for federal OCS oil and gas leases in the Alaska OCS Region.OCS Lease Blocks that are currently leased from the federal government by industry for the purpose of development of traditional oil or gas energy products and may or may not be actively developed or producing. Leases in state waters are not included in this layer. The Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act (OCSLA) (43 U.S.C. 1331-1356a), as amended, authorizes the Secretary of the Interior to issue, on a competitive basis, leases for oil and gas, and sulfur, in submerged lands of the Outer Continental Shelf. The Act authorizes the Secretary to grant rights-of-way and easements through the submerged lands of the OCS.An OCS lease is an agreement that is issued under section 8 or maintained under section 6 of the Act and that authorizes exploration for, and development and production of, minerals on the OCS. The term also means the area covered by that agreement, whichever the context requires. The areas covered by the lease agreement consist of one or more OCS Lease Blocks, or any leasable portion thereof, bid upon as a single administrative unit, that will be part of a single lease. The data represents a close approximation, but might not be the exact coordinates for leases. For the official coordinates please refer to the OPD or SOBD for the lease. ALSO NOTE: older leases were issued on a NAD 27 grid, and their lease coordinates will not change as long as the lease remains active. Although the NAD 27 leases have been projected to NAD 83 for inclusion in this file, when plotted on the current NAD 83 leasing grid, they will not appear to "line up", because the NAD 83 grids represents a complete re-grid and not a re-projection of the old NAD 27 grid. All current leasing, starting with Sale 144 in September 1996, and leases that were issued under that sale, were computed on the NAD 83 grid. BOEM TIMS contains the official data for this dataset.
