Hawaiʻi Island Survival of Ceratocystis in Frass 2019-2020
This data release includes data and metadata used in the estimation of Ceratocystis lukuohia survival in ambrosia beetle frass under various temperature and humidity conditions on Hawaiʻi Island. Data were used in the analysis of the manuscript, "Ceratocystis lukuohia-infested ambrosia beetle frass as inoculum for Ceratocystis wilt of Metrosideros polymorpha." Frass was exposed at two locations including Volcano and Hilo, as well as a control incubator and frass was tested for viable C. lukuohia propagules through a carrot baiting technique over time.

공공데이터포털
These data include ambrosia beetle (Coleoptera: Curculionidae) species collected in multi-panel traps placed in grids within ʻŌlaʻa Forest and the Kahuku unit of Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National park between June 2021 and Februrary 2022 along with results from culturing viable Ceratocystis fungi from these trap collections.
Island of Hawai'i Ceratocystis Viability and Beetle Activity in Felled ʻŌhiʻa Lehua Trees 2020-2021
공공데이터포털
This data release includes data and metadata documenting Ceratocystis viability, moisture content, and beetle activity in felled and tarped ʻōhiʻa lehua (Metrosideros polymorpha) trees previously having been determined to be infected with either Ceratocystis lukuohia or Ceratocystis huliohia, the fungi that cause rapid ʻōhiʻa death (ROD).
Viable Ceratocystis Propagules in Frass
공공데이터포털
These data include Ceratocystis culture viability results from ambrosia beetle (Coleopetera: Scolytinae) frass. Frass is defined as fine particles of macerated wood or boring dust, beetle parts, and feces. Frass was collected from individual ambrosia beetle galleries in Ceratocystis-infected ʻōhiʻa (Metrosideros polymorpha) trees on Hawaiʻi Island, a phenomenon referred to as Rapid ʻŌhiʻa Death (ROD). We recorded the height at which these beetles produced frass, how long we collected frass from galleries, and the total number of culturing tests from individual galleries.

공공데이터포털
This data release includes data and metadata containing (1) study site locations and elevation where bolts (tree stem sections) infected with Ceratocystis lukuohia and/or C. huliohia were collected on Hawai'i Island, (2) the ambrosia beetle (Coleoptera: Scolytinae) species that were reared from bolts, (3) Ceratocystis spp. viability results from culturing tests of the beetles' frass, (4) frass production estimates from three ambrosia beetle species, and (5) quantitative Polymerase Chain Reaction (qPCR) DNA results of viability subcultures. Data were used in the analysis for the manuscript "Ambrosia beetle communities and frass production in ʻōhiʻa (Metrosideros polymorpha) infected with Ceratocystis fungi responsible for Rapid ʻŌhiʻa Death." Beetles and frass were collected in the lab from Rapid 'Ōhiʻa Death-infected trees from 2018-2019.

Hawaiian Islands Ceratocystis luhuohia modeled habitat suitability
공공데이터포털
Hawaiʹi’s most widespread native tree, ʹōhiʹa lehua (Metrosideros polymorpha), has been dying across large areas of Hawaiʹi Island mainly due to two fungal pathogens (Ceratocystis lukuohia and Ceratocystis huliohia) that cause a disease collectively known as Rapid ʹŌhiʹa Death (ROD). Here we examine patterns of positive detections of C. lukuohia as it has been linked to the larger mortality events across Hawaiʹi Island. Our analysis compares the environmental range of C. lukuohia and its spread over time through the known climatic range and distribution of ʹōhiʹa. This data set is a georeferenced raster file, containing the projected suitability for C.lukuohia across the main Hawaiian Islands using climatic variables that varied consistently with C. lukuohia prevalence (Mean annual precipication and minimum temperature of coldest month) at 500 meter resolution. This C. lukuohia habitat suitability was generated using maxent using methods described in Fortini et. al 2019 (Forest Ecology and Management).
