This data contains a set of geodetic control stations maintained by the National Geodetic Survey. Each geodetic control station in this dataset has either a precise Latitude/Longitude used for horizontal control or a precise Orthometric Height used for vertical control, or both.The National Geodetic Survey (NGS) serves as the Nation's depository for geodetic data. The NGS distributes geodetic data worldwide to a variety of users. These geodetic data include the final results of geodetic surveys, software programs to format, compute, verify, and adjust original survey observations or to convert values from one geodetic datum to another, and publications that describe how to obtain and use Geodetic Data products and services.

Survey control points or other related data sets which are accurately tied to the National Spatial Reference System.

Latitude and longitude, UTM coordinates and height of survey control marks. From LIST the latitude and longitude / UTM coordinates are available in the Geocentric Datum of Australia 2020 (GDA2020) and the Geocentric Datum of Australia 1994 (GDA94). Coordinates in Australian Geodetic Datum 1966 (AGD66) are available from the custodian. Coordinates on all datums are not available for every mark. Height information is expressed relative to a number of datums. The quality of control mark coordinate information is expressed in terms of Positional Uncertainty for GDA2020 coordinates and Class and Order for GDA94, AGD66 and height datum coordinates. Attribute information may include the mark type, date established, access type and comments on condition. An abbreviated description of any visible target is included. Mark status indicates if control mark has been reported not found, or is destroyed but the reference marks still exist.

The Visible and Infrared Imager/Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) Geolocation (GEO) Products are data containing terrain corrected solar zenith and azimuth angles, satellite zenith and azimuth angles, as well as latitudes and longitudes for each VIIRS grid point for each of the three VIIRS resolutions. (375m, 750m, and DNB).
