Kedougou Nutrient Diversity
공공데이터포털
Feed the Future's strategy focuses on five core investment areas: agriculture, nutrition, policy, infrastructure, and institutional capacity. The program focuses its rice activities in the Senegal River ValleyData on household and regional production values for Kedougou, Senegal. The data was produced as part of a Borlaug-funded PhD project studying the impact of crop diversity on ecological and human well-being in south-eastern Senegal. This data asset is comprised of three distinct spreadsheets covering regional production from the Ministry of Agricuture, household-level production data, and crop nutrient data for Kedougou, Senegal.

Global Food Security-support Analysis Data (GFSAD) Cropland Extent 2015 Africa 30 m V001
공공데이터포털
The NASA Making Earth System Data Records for Use in Research Environments (MEaSUREs) (https://earthdata.nasa.gov/about/competitive-programs/measures) Global Food Security-support Analysis Data (GFSAD) data product provides cropland extent data over the continent of Africa for nominal year 2015 at 30 meter resolution (GFSAD30AFCE). The monitoring of global cropland extent is critical for policymaking and provides important baseline data that are used in many agricultural cropland studies pertaining to water sustainability and food security. The GFSAD30AFCE data product uses two pixel-based supervised classifiers, Random Forest (RF) and Support Vector Machine (SVM), and one object-oriented classifier, Recursive Hierarchical Image Segmentation (RHSEG). The classifiers retrieve cropland extent from a combination of Landsat 8 Operational Land Imager (OLI) and Sentinel-2 MultiSpectral Instrument (MSI) data and elevation derived from the Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM) Version 3 data products. Each GFSAD30AFCE GeoTIFF file contains a cropland extent layer that defines areas of cropland, non-cropland, and water bodies over a 10 degree by 10 degree area. Known Issues * Known issues including constraints and limitations are provided on page 20 of the ATBD.

Feed the Future Tanzania Mboga na Matunda Private Sector Survey 2019 - Module G Product Sales
공공데이터포털
This data asset contains data from the beneficiary based fiscal year 2019 annual results survey of private sector firms assisted by the Feed the Future Tanzania - Mboga na Matunda Project. The project works to improve the livelihoods of horticultural farmers in the regions of Iringa, Morogoro, Songwe, Mbeya, and Zanzibar, and strengthen the market system throughout the ZOI. The survey sample was developed using one level of stratification, firm type. Firms were selected from five different categories: Processor, Buyer, Local input supplier, Regional input supplier, Finance provider, and Other service provider. In total, 321 firms were surveyed. The data is split into modules. Module A captures basic identifying data on the firm. Module B captures information on the proprietors. Modules C, D, E, F, G and H capture data on sales of products and services. Module I captures information on business practices. Module J captures information on production costs. Module K captures information on access to finance.
