Kenya Integrated Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (KIWASH) Performance Evaluation 2018
Kenya Integrated WASH (KIWASH) KIWASH is a 5-year activity (October 2015 to September 2020) funded by USAID/KEA and implemented by a consortium led by Development Alternatives Incorporated (DAI). The goal of KIWASH is to improve lives and health through development and management of sustainable water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) services in Kenya. USAID/KEA commissioned the USAID Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Partnerships and Learning for Sustainability (WASHPaLS) to undertake this performance evaluation at the start of the activity’s fourth year to assess the appropriateness of the KIWASH design, assess progress of implementation to-date, and inform future USAID/KEA WASH and nutrition programming.

This data asset contains endline survey data collected as part of a study of the effects of community and household-level, poverty-targeted, partial subsidies for latrine construction in the context of community led total sanitation (CLTS) in two rural provinces in Lao PDR. The endline surveys occurred in June-August 2018 and took place in 160 villages across 10 districts in Champasack and Sekong.
