Offshore Commercial Fishing Blocks - R7 - CDFW [ds3148]
Number sequence of blocks range from 1042 (Northern CA) to 1032 (Southern CA). These blocks were digitized for a California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) commercial landings database. The original offshore blocks maps were georeferenced to known ocean locations and coastline. The blocks are primarily used to report fishing in offshore waters. Attributes:Block_ID: Contains the 4-digit number used to ID the large offshore commercial fishing block.

The basic 10 minute grid was created using the ARC/INFO generate fishnet command. The input coordinates were in decimal degrees and the resultant coverage was subsequently projected into Teale Albers. The coastline derived from the 1:100K hydrology was incorporated to the 10 minute grid. The trawl logbook developed by the Pacific Fishery Management Council, the States of Washington, Oregon, and California, and the National Marine Fisheries Service was used as the reference. Many grids, therefore, are 30 x 30 or larger or are partial representations of a 10 grid. Islands, bays, deltas and estuarine waters that occurred in the 1:100K hydrology were included in the coverage. Any features not in fishable waters were given an ID of zero. All other features correspond to the ID shown in the Trawl Logbook. The field containing the ID is called block10-id.

California Recreational Fisheries Survey Microblocks - CDFW [ds3153]
공공데이터포털
These cells divide the 10-minute (10‘) grid or California trawl (Cal-Trawl) Blocks that are used in commercial fishing into 1-minute (1'') boxes. The California Recreational Fisheries Survey (CRFS) uses these Block-Box cells (commonly called Microblocks) as a reference for anglers to report location of recreational catch and effort data. The 1 Microblocks in this dataset extend inland to include many coastal areas, estuaries, and bays.Attributes:NM_INDEX: Unique identifier for each Microblock. Format is (10'' minute Block '' 1'' minute Box). BLOCK10_ID: Identification number of the larger 10-minute Cal-Trawl Block.BLOCK1_ID: Numerical ID representing the number of the 1-minute box dividing each Cal-Trawl Block.X: Longitudinal centroid of the Microblock.Y: Latitudinal centroid of the Microblock.
