Pursuant to San Francisco Charter § F1.102 of Appendix F, the San Francisco Park Evaluation Program (SFPEP) has regularly evaluated and assessed the conditions of all San Francisco civic plazas and squares, mini parks, neighborhood parks and playgrounds, parkways and regional parks since 2005. The City Services Auditor division of the Controller’s Office and Recreation & Parks Department (RPD) staff conduct quarterly evaluations. The Controller’s Office use the results to communicate the condition of San Francisco’s parks to RPD management and park staff, elected officials, and the public, and to improve park conditions by efficient resource allocation and improved maintenance. Starting with fiscal year 2015 with an updated maintenance evaluation standard, the data are collected and maintained in a source system within the Recreation & Parks Department. This data contains the payroll information for a subset of the NYC Parks responsible for park cleaning & maintenance, and was used to produce the FY2016 and FY2017 reports on Park Maintenance as required by Administrative Code 18-144. This report can be accessed at https://www.nycgovparks.org/news/archive. Data accuracy is limited by the scale and accuracy of the original sources.

The Controller's Office's City Services Auditor (CSA) Division has worked with the Department of Public Works (DPW) to develop maintenance standards for streets and sidewalks and schedules and inspect for compliance since July 2004. This data file consolidates street and sidewalk inspection results FY07-FY11. This data was collected biaannually from divisions at the Department reasonsible for tracking performance indicators connected to Agency activities. Each measure reflects a particular aspect of agency service operations that the City’s Commissionersand agency heads viewed as key public service areas and criticial objectives connected to policy priorities and operational strategies. These metrics were developed through a collaboration between the Mayor’s Office of Operations and the senior managers of each agency. Results are compared to pre-stated targets or to performance for previous reporting periods. Use ‘CSV for Excel’ when downloading this dataset and then sort in alphabetical order by Agency.
