The invention concerns a device (1) for manipulating tools comprising two parts, said device being of the type consisting of a frame and at least one tray forming a table, designed to receive the mold. The invention is characterized in that it comprises two horizontally arranged trays (6, 9-7, 8) one of which is arranged sliding on the frame to be mobile in translation relative to the other tray, from a close position to a remote position and inversely, so as to enable the tool to be manually opened and closed.

A manually-actuated device for the deliver of a volume of liquid which includes an outlet through which liquid is in use delivered and a cover member which is movably disposed relative to the housing between a first position in which the cover member at least partly covers the outlet and a second position in which the cover member acts as a lever which in use is acted upon by a user to actuate the delivery device.

The device has a measuring tape (4) attached by clamping to a concave surface (3) of a carrier body (1). The extent of the concave surface is defined by detent surfaces (6,7) on each end of the measuring tape. At least one of the detent surfaces is adjustable using an adjusting device (9), so that the spacing of the detent surfaces can be matched to the length of the measuring tape.

A method of providing a surface of a material with an image, includes applying to the surface an image sheet included (i) a flexible layer of a Shape Memory Polymer, and (ii) an image bonded to said layer by means of an image key coat. The image sheet is bonded to the surface by means of an adhesive and a process which involves heating of the Shape Memory Polymer to a temperature above its Glass Transition Temperature.

A gaming machine is provided with an upper display panel formed by an electric display device so that display contents can be changed. A display panel is comprised of a transparent acrylic plate that is a protective cover, a liquid crystal display device that serves as an electric display device, and a cold-cathode tube that serves as a back light. The amount of media to be paid out that is displayed thereon can be changed with a touch panel provided on a reel display part, and an arbitrary payout table can be selected from among a plurality of payout tables. It is possible to lessen labor required to produce the panel that displays a model name, etc., for each model.

A stackable insulating foam panel which has a top side and a bottom side. Each of the panels has a median row of alternating projections and recesses with a similar complementary shape. The median row is disposed between two coplanar edge surfaces. Each projection of the top side is opposed to a recess of the bottom side whereby the top side and/or the bottom side of the panel can be interconnected with either the top side or the bottom side of a like panel. The present invention also concerns a wall form assembly which comprises opposed foam panels disposed in parallel relationship to make a wall form for receiving a flowable material such as concrete and a plurality of connectors for tying the opposed foam panels together.

A liquid crystal display with improved gray-scale display. The liquid crystal display includes a plurality of pixel areas (P), each including first (200) and second (600) substrates disposed opposite each other and a liquid crystal layer (640) interposed therebetween. A first pixel electrode (265) and a first pixel driving device (245) electrically connected thereto are formed on part of the first substrate. A second pixel electrode (260) and a second pixel driving device (244) electrically connected thereto are formed on part of the first substrate. A common electrode (620) is formed on the interior of the second substrate. The first and second pixel driving devices have mutually different ON currents, resulting in the first and second pixel electrodes having mutually different voltages.

In the manufacture of an electronic device such as an active matrix display, a vertical amorphous PIN photodiode or similar thin-film diode (D) is advantageously integrated with a polysilicon TFT (TFT1, TFT2) in a manner that permits a good degree of optimization of the respective TFT and diode properties while being compatible with the complex pixel context of the display. High temperature processes for making the active semiconductor film (10) of the TFT more crystalline than an active semiconductor film (40) of the diode and for forming the source and drain doped regions (s1,s2, d1,d2) of the TFT are carried out before depositing the active semiconductor film (40) of the diode. Thereafter, the lateral extent of the diode is defined by etching while protecting with an etch-stop film (30) an interconnection film (20) that can provide a doped bottom electrode region (41) of the diode as well as one of the doped regions (s2, g1) of the TFT.
