The system foresees for each plate (1) an autonomous mechanical structure composed of one section bar (3) connected to a gripper that holds a plate (1) as well as of another section bar (10) and at least two support arms (5, 5′, 6, 6′) hinged upon said section bars (3, 10); the structure is fixed to a section bar (9) that is in turn fixed to the display counter or window near the base of the tank; the support arms (5, 5′, 6, 6′) differ in length; two supports (4, 4′, 11, 11′) are fixed to each section bar (3, 10); said supports constitute the hinge members upon which the ends of the support arms (5, 5′, 6, 6′) fit; each plate (1) can both move in a parallelogram motion with translation parallel to the display counter or window, and open like a casement window using the pin (7) of the shorter support arm (5, 5′) as a pivot; the system also contains a spring closing mechanism and a lock (18).

The chain conveyor has a number of chain elements (2) with a joint between each two successive chain elements with two transverse pivot axles (12,15), pivot bearing bolts and an intermediate element (3) on which the other chain element is supported. Pivot bearing bolt elements (14) protruding on both sides of the intermediate element towards the other pivot axis engage side elements (9,10) on the other end of the other chain element.

u The device comprises a store (5) for connection elements (4), a transfer arrangement (7) for transferring the connection element from the store to a pressing assembly (8, 13, 14). There may be an arrangement of counter-layers opposite the pressing assembly and one or more magazines (6) for receiving and intermediate layering from the store of connection elements to the transfer arrangement. The arrangement for the magazine may be on the longitudinal side of a transport system (1, 2) for the technical wooden product (3) above or below the transport plane of the wooden product. The store may be made up of a discharge, sorting, aligning and conveying system for pre-fabricated connection element to the transfer arrangement.

The invention relates to a method for straightening a metal strip (1) which is guided in the direction of transportation (R) through a straightening machine (2) and is straightened. In the straightening device (2), the metal strip (1) is impinged upon by a straightening force (F) which is applied by a plurality of straightening rollers (3) in the direction (N) which is perpendicular to the surface of the metal strip (1). According to the invention, prior to the metal strip (1) entering into the straightening machine (2), the thickness (d) of the metal strip (1) is determined and the position (a) of the straightening rollers (3) in the direction (N) which is perpendicular to the surface of the metal strip (1) is taken into account according to the determined thickness (d).

A new apparatus is disclosed that can be assembled quickly and reliably. The apparatus contains a transfer module (40), at least two support modules (20) firmly connected to said transfer module (40) and at least two carrier elements (A,B,C) firmly connected to said transfer module (40) and bearing said transfer module (40). The apparatus is particularly useful for performing multistep analytical processes that require precise access of tools of a transfer tool to items on a working area.

The device (1) comprises multiple grippers (5) arranged together in a position with a pre-determined distance. A rocker comprises a swiveling point at the frame (4), where a drive unit (7) has a translational movement (10) for moving two adjacent grippers over different lengths. The coupling elements are connected with the rocker of other gripper by one swiveling point.

A stackable insulating foam panel which has a top side and a bottom side. Each of the panels has a median row of alternating projections and recesses with a similar complementary shape. The median row is disposed between two coplanar edge surfaces. Each projection of the top side is opposed to a recess of the bottom side whereby the top side and/or the bottom side of the panel can be interconnected with either the top side or the bottom side of a like panel. The present invention also concerns a wall form assembly which comprises opposed foam panels disposed in parallel relationship to make a wall form for receiving a flowable material such as concrete and a plurality of connectors for tying the opposed foam panels together.

A stackable insulating foam panel which has a top side and a bottom side. Each of the panels has a median row of alternating projections and recesses with a similar complementary shape. The median row is disposed between two coplanar edge surfaces. Each projection of the top side is opposed to a recess of the bottom side whereby the top side and/or the bottom side of the panel can be interconnected with either the top side or the bottom side of a like panel. A method of providing a surface of a material with an image, includes applying to the surface an image sheet included (i) a flexible layer of a Shape Memory Polymer, and (ii) an image bonded to said layer by means of an image key coat. The image sheet is bonded to the surface by means of an adhesive and a process which involves heating of the Shape Memory Polymer to a temperature above its Glass Transition Temperature.

A coupling seal assembly is described for directing a pressurized abrasive fluid between a non-rotating conduit member (17) and a rotating second conduit member (15). The seal assembly includes a first ceramic floating seal member (34) secured to the non-rotating conduit member and a second ceramic seal member (40) secured to the rotating conduit member. Enhanced service life of the seal assembly under high pressures and high rotary speeds is achieved.
