A pipe fitting comprising a housing ( 10:37:41 ) defining at ore rolled over end thereof an opening ( 36 ) through which it is intended a predetermined diameter pipe ( 28 ) is inserted, in use, with a clearance space between the pipe and the housing, The fitting has a grip-ring ( 19 ) for gripping the pipe ( 28 ) and a pipe support means ( 20:38 ) downstream of the grip-ring and ahead of sealing means ( 21 ). Downstream of the sealing means, are means ( 22:40 ) for limiting movement of the sealing means. The rolled over end of the housing effects engagement of the grip-ring with the housing and thus ensures electrical continuity between an inserted pipe and the housing. Also disclosed is a release tool ( 42 ) for use with the fitting.

A valve assembly comprising a chamber, the chamber having an inlet which is adapted to be connected to a source of relatively high pressure fluid, and an outlet which is adapted to be connected to a source of relatively low pressure fluid, and a switch valve which is switchable between a first configuration in which the valve closes the outlet and opens the inlet, and a second configuration in which the valve closes the inlet and opens the outlet, characterised in that a flow control device is provided between the outlet and the volume of relatively low pressure fluid, the flow control device including a restrictor portion which restricts flow of fluid through the flow control device, the extent to which fluid flow is restricted decreasing as the fluid pressure in the chamber increases.

The invention relates to a plastic charge air tank or coolant tank (5) comprising at least one tie rod (10) that is integrated thereinto and is connected thereto as a single piece or in a fixed manner. A fitting for connecting two structural components. The fitting includes a locking device mounted on the first structural component and a support device mounted on the second structural component. A rotary member in the support device defines circumferentially extending conical surface against which the front end of the locking device is pressed when the two fitting devices are connected. The force exerted by the front end of the locking device causes the rotary member to be turned. The rotary member has a helical end face which is initially outside of the range of travel of the locking device. Upon turning of the rotary member, the helical end face comes into engagement with a countersurface of the locking device. The resulting connection can only be released by means of a tool. A piece of furniture composed of several structural components can be initially connected without the aid of a tool and can subsequently be tightened after the piece of furniture has been assembled. The fitting makes possible the connection of structural components where the tolerances in assembling the fitting devices are inaccurate or have been exceeded.

The invention relates to a plastic pipe (1) comprising at least one connecting point (2) for connection to another plastic pipe (3) or to another connecting piece, wherein the connecting point (2) has a sealing area. The present invention relates to a packaging machine (500) for packaging pourable food products and producing sealed packages, comprising means for longitudinally sealing a web of continuous packaging material to form a tube, and sealing means for clamping and sealing the product-filled tube at spaced intervals. The screw-on cover has a drain for residual liquid present in the housing with a round drain opening (31) arranged in the central axis of the housing. A device for opening and closing the drain opening is arranged in the area of the drain and connected to filter element so that it moves relative to the drain opening and opens the drain when the cover is unscrewed.
