A device that may be applied in particular to shutters and similar and that will allow, by means of the rotation of the sole handle (28), the opening of the shutter, the orientation of movable blades (6) and the determination of the blocking in a plurality of different positions by moving rods (18) with the possibility of different interposition of metal plates (55, 56, 63, 66, 66 min ). In variants, i.e. the case of shutters with fix blades (6), the same handle (28) may be used for the sole opening of the shutter, while in the case of fix shutters with movable blades (6) said handle (28) may be used for the sole orientation of blades.

Finisher comprises a chassis (1), an inlet board (5) hinged via arms (6), a base board (7) and an outlet board (8). The angle of the inlet board can be adjusted via an adjusting cylinder (12). Hydraulic supporting cylinders (21) are arranged between the rear region of the chassis and the outlet board and/or board parts (9) of each side. The cylinders are impinged with an adjustable hydraulic pressure in the direction of the ground when the finisher is started up. Preferred Features: The supporting cylinders are hinged on the chassis on the piston side and on each outlet board and/or the board parts on the piston rod side. The chassis has hooks (20) for a trailer.

The present invention relates to a CVD-coated cutting tool insert with a TiC x N y -layer with a low tensile stress level of 10-300 MPa and an ±-Al 2 O 3 -layer with a high surface smoothness of <0.1 µm as measured by AFM-technique. This is obtained by subjecting the coating to a first intensive wet blasting operation with a slurry consisting of F80 grits of Al 2 O 3 followed by a second wet blasting treatment with a slurry of F320 grits of Al 2 O 3 .

A method for controlling a production line for the manufacture and/or packaging of contact lenses which production line simultaneous by processes at least two lots, the method comprising dividing at least a portion of the production line into a series of cells through which the contact lens pass sequentially, and providing a control system comprising at least three shifts registers each containing information about each of said cells, including: (a) a location shift register which indicates whether a cell should be empty or occupied, (b) a lot data shift register which is a non-binary shift register and contains manufacturing and/or prescription data about the contact lens which should be in the cell and (c) a condition shift register which provides an indication of the condition of the product in the cell, and simultaneously indexing all of said shift registers as a lens passes down the production line from one cell to the next cell.

In a method for labeling, a label strip (20) is moved by means of an electric motor (80). Arranged on this label strip are labels (26) of predetermined length (EL) with uniform interstices (SB). The motor has associated with it a position controller (218), also a sensor (44) for sensing a predetermined position of a label (26) when the latter is moved on the label strip (20) relative to the sensor (44). The method has the following steps: in accordance with a stored profile, the label strip (20) is set in motion beginning from a start position (A), a first target position (Z) of the label strip being specified to the position controller (218); during the motion of the label strip (20), a predetermined position (M) of the label strip (20) is sensed; and subsequently thereto, a revised target position (Z) is specified to the position controller (218). This makes possible fast and precise labeling, since the target position can be reached very accurately. A corresponding device has a compact design.

A buckle (10) comprising a decorative outer frame (11) having a circumferential top wall (12) and opposed depending side walls extending rearwardly of the top wall (12). A channel (15) is defined between the depending side walls under the top wall (12). A casted back member is provided with a projection portion which is configured to be received in the channel (15). The outer frame is retained on the casted back member by bending the outer one of the side walls under the projection portion which is received at least in part in the channel (15). The casted back may have a variety of designs and attachments all formed in a single casting.
