The invention concerns a device (1) for manipulating tools comprising two parts, said device being of the type consisting of a frame and at least one tray forming a table, designed to receive the mold. The invention is characterized in that it comprises two horizontally arranged trays (6, 9-7, 8) one of which is arranged sliding on the frame to be mobile in translation relative to the other tray, from a close position to a remote position and inversely, so as to enable the tool to be manually opened and closed.

A storage device for a plurality of storage members in the form of sleeves each adapted to accommodate at least one compact disc, comprises a base member formed from synthetic plastics material and incorporating integral locating members formed by cutting and deforming a portion of the base member. The locating members are adapted for engagement with complementary apertures formed in each of the sleeves and are resiliently deformable whereby they may be deformed to pass through the apertures and then resiliently expand such that portions thereof extend beyond the apertures to retain the storage members in position on the base member.

An information storage apparatus comprises a one or more storage media (168), which include a plurality of information tracks. Each storage medium (168) has a head assembly (170) having a substantially planar surface and a plurality of read/write heads positioned in registry with said information tracks. The read/write heads are arranged substantially in the plane of the planar surface. The information storage medium (168) and the head assembly (170) are arranged in mutually sliding abutment such that the read/write heads are substantially in sliding contact with the outer surface of the information storage medium in use. In another aspect an information storage and retrieval apparatus comprises an information storage medium (168) comprising an information storage area, and an array (170) of information read and/or write heads. The information storage medium (168) and array of heads (170) are arranged to be oscillated with respect to each other in use such that each region of the information storage area is aligned with at least one of the read/write heads during the oscillation.

A conveying device ( 1 ) which is particular in that the conveying device comprises a plurality of conveying elements ( 2 ), where each conveying element ( 2 ) comprises a chain box element ( 4 ) in which at least one transport roller ( 3 ) is rotatably fixed such that rollers ( 3 ) arranged in adjacent conveying elements ( 2 ) define the conveying device transport plane, and that chain box elements ( 4 ) of adjacent conveying elements are interconnected in such a way that one conveying element may articulate in relation to adjacent conveying elements, and that at least some of the chain box elements in the conveying device comprise drive elements directly engaging and rotating the transport rollers ( 3 ).

It is disclosed a vending machine for items of substantially cylindrical shape such as bottles, cans and the like, comprising a plurality of storage compartments (2) each of them adapted to house said items (3), and dispensing devices (4) adapted to dispense the items coming from at least two respective storage compartments (2). The machine further comprises a multiple loading chute (11) adapted to channel the items themselves towards at least two storage compartments (2) disposed in mutual side by side relationship.

An automatic liquid-raising device with a storage tank (3) positioned above a closed working chamber (1), and a closed suction chamber (2) positioned above the storage tank (3) and having an outlet for liquid ; the working chamber (1) having a drain pipe (5) extending a certain distance downwards from its bottom and a suction-transfer pipe (7) rising from its top to the suction chamber (2) ; the storage tank (3) being connected through a charging pipe (6) to the working chamber (1) ; the suction chamber (2) having a feed pipe through which it aspirates liquid ; the charging pipe (6) having a valve (6a) for controlling the flow of liquid reaching the working chamber (1) from the storage tank (3) in dependence on the amount of liquid in the working chamber (1) ; the suction chamber (2) having a non-return valve (16) in its outlet (2a) for preventing return flow of liquid back into the suction chamber (2), characterised in that the storage tank (3) is mounted directly on top of the working chamber (1) and delivers working liquid through a charging pipe (6) to the top of the working chamber (1), the charging pipe (6) penetrating into the interior of the storage tank (3) ; the charging pipe (6) having a downwards-directed mouth (6a, 6a') cooperating with a valve plate (13, 23) actuated by a device (9, 12 or 24, 25) controlled by an actuator (9, 25) located in the working chamber (1) ; the actuator (9, 25) being connected to the valve plate (13, 23) through at least one sealed aperture (12, 24) in the separation wall (3a) between the storage tank (3) and the working chamber (1).

A manually-actuated device for the deliver of a volume of liquid which includes an outlet through which liquid is in use delivered and a cover member which is movably disposed relative to the housing between a first position in which the cover member at least partly covers the outlet and a second position in which the cover member acts as a lever which in use is acted upon by a user to actuate the delivery device.

The present invention relates to a packaging machine (500) for packaging pourable food products and producing sealed packages, comprising means for longitudinally sealing a web of continuous packaging material to form a tube, and sealing means for clamping and sealing the product-filled tube at spaced intervals. Said sealing means comprises a first two sets of mutually cooperating first heat sealing jaws (10) and first counter sealing jaws (20) respectively, and a second two sets of mutually cooperating second heat sealing jaws (10) and second counter sealing jaws (20) respectively. The sealing jaws (10,20) of at least one of said first and second two sets are carried by chain conveyors which are manageable between a first and a second state to make the packaging machine operable in a first state and in a second state, allowing manufacturing of different types of packages.
