In the housing cavity (14) is used a special intermediate ring (16) for retaining the carrier unit (26), where the carrier unit and intermediate ring have inter-operating first axial support devices (40,42,26,48), which in the installed state of the carrier unit, support against the intermediate ring in both directions. The housing and the intermediate ring have second axial support devices (30,32,34,36,38), which in the installed condition of the intermediate ring (16) support against the housing (10) in both directions. An independent claim is included for a tool for unlocking the connector.

The second shield conductor (5) is arranged discontinuously in the longitudinal direction of the antenna (10) defining uncovered or unmasked portions (AS1 - AS12) of the first shield conductor (4) in the longitudinal direction of the antenna which are adapted in that electromagnetic energy passes through the uncovered portions (AS1 - AS12). Thus, the present invention suggests a two-layer shield for improving the properties of a leaky coaxial antenna with respect to e.g. aerospace applications.
