A plug receptacle electrical connector and a method of manufacturing such a connector. The receptacle connector comprises a moulded insulating cover (1) which receives a moulded insulating base (36) carrying electrical contacts (60) for engaging contacts of a plug connector (100) inserted into a cavity (2) in the cover (1). To enable the connector to be mounted on a circuit board with the contacts (60) connected to circuitry (not shown) on the board, the contacts (60) have lead portions (64) which project beneath the base (36), the bottom of the cover (36) being open to receive the lead portions (64). Rails (48) on the base (36), which engage in grooves (82 and 88) in the cover, being provided on the sides of the base (36) and having thereon latches (50) for engaging shoulders (52A) defined by the grooves (82 and 88). In the manufacture of the connector, the contacts (60) are selectively plated with gold stripes (not shown) for engagement by the contacts of the plug (100).

The apparatus comprises several flat ribbon cables (FRC) (10) which are equipped with electrical conductors and which form a wound structure (W). The FRC is arranged within a cassette (K) between two terminals (6,8). The ends of the FRC are connected to contact regions for the purpose of connecting ongoing cables. A pot-like cover made of noise-muffling material is provided to engage around the wound structure and is fitted detachably to a disc-shaped carrier, to accommodate the complete wound structure for its protection during transport and storage.

Apparatus, method and system for notifying a communications switching center that a subsequent communication directed to a wireless number associated with the wireless unit is to be routed to a directory number associated with the wireless unit. A converter may be provided and connected to a current source and to a communications switching center. The wireless unit may be connected to the converter, and if connected, the unit draws current therefrom. In response to the draw of current by the wireless unit through the converter, the converter transmits a message to the communications switching center. The message includes a notification that a subsequent communication directed to the wireless number associated with the wireless unit is to be routed to the directory number associated with the wireless unit.

A connector is provided for attachment to a coaxial cable. The connector includes, in one embodiment, a connector body and a locking sleeve. The locking sleeve is configured to be moved between an attached and a detached state. In each such state, the locking sleeve is configured to receive the end of the cable. In one position, the locking sleeve is configured to lock the end of the cable to the connector body.

The device has two parts (12,14) that can be plugged together and that can be coupled by a sliding element (16) fed into one connector part, especially transversely to the plugging direction, and a securing element (24) movable between a starting position and an end position in which it fixes the sliding part in its end position. The securing element is locked in its starting position and is only released for movement to its end position with the connector parts coupled.

The invention relates to a leaky coaxial antenna (10) comprising an inner conductor (1), a dielectric (2) around the inner conductor (1), and a first shield conductor (4) disposed around the dielectric (2), the first shield conductor having openings (41) distributed in longitudinal direction of the inner conductor (1) and being adapted in that electromagnetic energy passes through the openings (41). A second shield conductor (5) is disposed around or underneath the first shield conductor (4), the second shield conductor (5) being adapted to cover or mask at least a number of the openings (41) of the first shield conductor in a shielded section (S1 - S12). The second shield conductor (5) is arranged discontinuously in the longitudinal direction of the antenna (10) defining uncovered or unmasked portions (AS1 - AS12) of the first shield conductor (4) in the longitudinal direction of the antenna which are adapted in that electromagnetic energy passes through the uncovered portions (AS1 - AS12). Thus, the present invention suggests a two-layer shield for improving the properties of a leaky coaxial antenna with respect to e.g. aerospace applications.
