Cooperative touch fasteners have a sheet-form base with an upper face and a lower face. Extending outwardly from, and integral with the upper face of the base is a plurality of fastener elements. Additionally, the lower face of the sheet-form base has a pressure adhesive property and is coated with a cross-linkable adhesive. The cooperative touch fasteners can be used to alter garments, hang window coverings and attach finishing covers. Additionally, the fasteners can be used in place of snaps and buttons, in medical devices, with diapers and in conjunction with a variety of manufacturing techniques.

A device for fixing a fabric includes a frame of polygonal shape that is able to accommodate at least one insert, whereby the fabric is wedged between the frame and the insert, the frame includes a groove with a shrunken mouth, and the insert includes a horseshoe-shaped body that can be deformed elastically and can be inserted forcibly into the groove, characterized in that the body includes, on the one hand, a first wall that delimits a housing that opens toward the outside, and, on the other hand, a second wall that defines a retaining surface that can work with the groove, whereby a recess is arranged between the two walls (26, 32) so as to make the deformations of each wall (26, 32) independent, whereby junction zones are provided to connect the first wall and the second wall on both sides of the mouth of the housing.

A method of manufacturing a fastener product includes continuously introducing a sheet of preformed material to a gap defined adjacent a peripheral surface of a rotating mold roll. A lane of resin is also introduced into the gap with the lane overlapping a longitudinal edge of the sheet. The resin is pressed against the sheet in the gap, such that the resin becomes permanently bonded to the sheet, while an array of stems is molded from the resin in the thicker region, the stems extending from a base portion of the resin. Engageable heads are formed on the stems to form fastener elements. The gap is configured with a step in thickness, the step defining a boundary between a relatively thicker gap region and a relatively thinner gap region, the sheet of preformed material being introduced to the gap with its longitudinal edge disposed within the thicker gap region.

Complementary, raised and recessed mountings of the support (1) and lamp unit, interlock. They are held together by a fastening component (14). This is fixed in the mounting region.

The fastening element (1) for the fastening of an exterior leaf to a substructure has a shank section (2) made from a first material and a covering (8) of heat insulating material at least partially encompassing the shank element. A stop (12) for the exterior leaf is connected to an operating component (5). A retaining device (9) is provided on the covering and grips behind the exterior leaf when the fastening element is fitted. The retaining device is reversibly deformable, materially moulded with the covering and in the form of elastic fingers (10,11) distributed around the circumference of the covering.

The device has an L-shaped longitudinal metal section (6) made of aluminum and having perpendicular wings (7, 8). Two parallel longitudinal grooves (9) extend vertically along the height of the section and have opposite inner walls with a toothed section, formed by parallel ridges (11) extending along the length of the grooves. The grooves receive screws adapted for the fixation of a panel (2) on the section.

An arrangement of building elements capable of a snap-fastening interconnection comprises an element, especially the tongue, consisting of a different material from the other building elements. An MDF/HDF panel, is initially milled along the longitudinal and/or transverse sides, and the resulting groove is then provided and/or foam-filled with extrudates. Finally, the free ends of the extrudates are milled to form the profile of the tongue. Alternatively, or additionally, a groove may also be milled into the extrudates.

The invention relates to a device (10) for fixing an element to a fixed support, comprising an automatically-closing holding collet (11). The collet (11) comprises a main cradle (15) and secondary cradles (16, 17) forming the jaws thereof. The secondary cradles (16, 17) form a central support zone (20), co-operating with the element to be fixed, in order to actuate the automatic closure of said secondary cradles (16, 17). The collet (11) also includes an actuation pin (34) and a dowel (28), comprising two parallel deformable posts (32a, 32b) which define a slot (33). The pin (34) co-operates with the dowel (28) in order to lock the collet (11) in a housing in the fixed support, comprising the insertion of the actuation pin (34) in the slot (33) and the radial expansion of the posts (32a, 32b) during the automatic closure of the secondary cradles (16, 17).

Process for assembling, by jointing, two surfaces A and B, these surfaces being made of various materials such als glass, plastics, metal etc., characterized in that it consists in : a) applying to the surface A a seal in the shape of a strip of a thermoplastic material, based on a polymer chosen from the group comprising thermoplastic polyurethanes, polyetheramides or mixtures of both these thermoplastic polymers, b) placing the surface A so as to face the surface B, via its seal, and c) producing the assembly by melting the surface layer of the seal which is facing the surfaces B, placing in contact and cooling under a slight pressure.
