PMI Impact Malaria Madagascar: Community Health Worker Training, 2021
This data asset contains data from IM Madagascar community health worker (CHW) training. IM Madagascar supported the district of Faratsiho (one of the three pilot districts) for the training of community health workers (CHWs) in detection, management, investigation, and reporting in malaria cases. The topics of the training were: malaria prevention, diagnosis, case management, surveillance, monitoring by investigation around a case and regular data reporting.

This data asset contains data from the training of trainers of community health workers (CHW). Impact Malaria (IM) supported the training and capacity building of CHW trainers, with particular emphasis on six districts in the North (Garoua 1, Guider, Golombe, Ngong, Tcholiré, and Touboro) and ten districts of the Far North (Bogo, Bourha, Goulfey, Hina, Kaele, Mada, Mokolo, Moutourwa, Roua, and Tokombere) where there are currently established community health workers. IM worked with these districts to identify and select CHW trainers at the health district level, particularly among staff. IM supported the design, production and distribution of training materials and working tools, and trained 74 CHW trainers.

This data asset contains training from Impact Malria (IM) Malawi conducted between 2021 and 2022. Training activity included: 1) Supporting National Malaria Control Program (NMCP) to provide capacity-building in malaria Rapid Diagnostics Testing (mRDT); 2) Supporting participation of qualified microscopists to attend national external Competency Assessment of Malaria Microscopists (eCAMM) certification. 3) Supporting NMCP and integrated Management of Childhood Illness (iMCI) to conduct refresher training for integrated Community Case Management (iCCM) providers and 4) Supporting NMCP National Parasitology Reference Laboratory (NPRL) to conduct three basic mDRTs for central hospitals, pre-service institutions, and other PMI-enhanced districts.

Impact Malaria (IM) supported the training and capacity building of healthcare providers, with a particular focus on districts in the North and Far North regions. IM supported the design, production and distribution of training materials and working tools to providers. IM worked with the National Malaria Control Program to identify and select service providers for the prevention and care of malaria at the level of health areas and health facilities.

This data asset consists of six training datasets from Zambia conducted between the year 2019-2022. PMI Impact Malaria Kenya: Clinical Mentorship, 2020-2023

This data asset contains data from clinical mentoring in Kenya that was conducted between 2020 and 2023. IM supported NMCP with data collection in different counties in Kenya. A digital version of the clinical mentorship checklists was used to collect data from the health facilities. The dataset contains aggregated data by county for the percentage of healthcare workers with a competency score ≥90%, median score, minimum and maximum score (providing the range of scores) for each of the clinical mentorship indicators measuring competency.

This data asset contains data from PMI Impact Malaria (IM) Basic Malaria Diagnostic Refresher Training (MDRT). IM supported the National Malaria Control Program (NMCP) to strengthen malaria diagnostics at central, regional and district levels, by improving the competence of laboratory technicians through a five-day basic MDRT. The training included building skills in theory and diagnostics procedures for malaria, parasite detection (PD), species identification (ID), and parasite counting (PC), as well as slide preparation, slide staining, use of malaria rapid diagnostic tests (mRDTs), biosafety, microscope maintenance, and improvement of quality assurance measures according to national guidelines.
