Pittsburgh Regional Transit makes schedule adjustments quarterly. These schedule adjustments are called "picks" and correspond with operators picking their assignments.

All transit stops within the Pittsburgh Regional Transit's service area for the 1909 schedule period: 9/1/2019 to 11/23/2019.

This dataset lists Pittsburgh Regional Transit scheduled bus and rail trip counts and distances since November 2016. For convenience, this data is published in several formats: - Daily Scheduled Trips: Aggregated total trip count and trip distances for each route per day. - Monthly Scheduled Trips: Aggregated total trip count and trip distances for each route per month and day type (weekday, Saturday, and Sunday). This can be joined with the Monthly Ridership dataset on DateKey, Route, and DayType to normalize the average riders per trip. - Detailed Daily Scheduled Trips: This dataset lists the detailed daily schedule for each route, including the start and end times for each trip. This can be used to see the earliest and latest runs and study peak- and off-peak trip frequencies. Port Authority makes quarterly schedule adjustments that include adding and removing trips on certain routes to better serve riders. These schedule adjustments are called "picks" and correspond to the year and month of the schedule change, e.g. the November 2016 pick is known as 1611.

This dataset provides an indicator of bus occupancy for individual bus services during three separate one week periods between August 2016 and January 2017. Monday 8 August 2016 to Sunday 14th August 2016 Monday 21 November 2016 – Sunday 27 November 2016 Monday 26 December 2016 – Sunday 1 January 2017 The occupancy status is provided by three values: STANDING ROOM ONLY MANY SEATS AVAILABLE FEW SEATS AVAILABLE The data is provided as zipped csv files - one per day / one per week / one for all days

Stop summary files represent average daily ridership at the stop level over the course of the relevant period. Trolley ridership data was generated using automatic passenger counters (APCs). Bus data is calculated from a variety of sources depending on the route and year. The bus data files represent average daily fall ridership from 2014 – present. Accurate weekend bus data was not available until 2017 at which point SEPTA had more widespread APC coverage. No bus data is available for Fall 2020 due to a malware attack. APC bus data was also not available for articulated vehicles and the Boulevard Direct from August 2020 through February 2022 due to the malware attack.
