Temperature, marine chemistry, and other data from the Diretoria de Hidrografia e Navegação, Brazil, from 12 March 1969 to 22 May 1969 (NCEI Accession 7300858)

Continuing the systematic oceanographic survey in the Brazilian stations in the area from Cabo de Sao Tome to Recife, distributed along coast, the NOc "Almirante Saldanha" has occupied 79 oceanographic 7 profiles having Sao Tome, Vitoria, Abrolhos, Belmonte, Camamu, Garcia D'Avila and Maceio as reference. Data on temperature "in situ", salinity, dissolved oxygen, phosphates, nitrates and nitrites content, pH, and bathythermograph casting, chlorophylls, light extinction, water transparency, vertical and horizontal plankton sampling were obtained. The values obtained by the ships were processed in the Diretoria de Hidrografia e Navegação and some graphs were made, representing the horizontal and vertical distribution along the profile of several oceanographic parameters. A resumed interpretation of the water masses is also presented.
Surface and Oceanographic profile temperature, salinity and other measurements using CTD and thermosalinograph, taken from the PUERTO DESEADO in the Coastal South Atlantic, South Atlantic and other locations from 2005 to 2006 (NCEI Accession 0110317)

These data were collected as part of the scientific agenda of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and sponsored by the Secretary of Environment and Sustainable Development of Argentina (http://www.ambiente.gov.ar). The project Coastal Pollution Prevention and Marine Biodiversity Management (Project 28385-AR-UNDP-ARG/02/018l) also referred to as GEF Patagonia was partially funded by the Global Environment Facility (GEF), with additional funding from the Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (CRN061 and 2076). The project goal was to determine the seasonal variability of physical-chemical properties of highly productive regions of the southwest South Atlantic continental shelf. The GEF Patagonia field experiments consisted of three oceanographic cruises carried out on board R/V ARA PUERTO DESEADO, in October 2005 (PD GEFPAT_1), and March (PD GEFPAT_2) and September 2006 (PD GEFPAT_3). In each cruise, hydrographic stations were occupied along cross-shelf sections spanning the shelf and extending to the onshore edge of the western boundary currents between 38° and 55°S. This submission reports the CTD and thermosalinograph data collected during the three GEF Patagonia cruises.

공공데이터포털
Salinity data were collected using bottle, thermosalinograph, and CTD casts from multiple vessels in the North and South Pacific Ocean from 01 January 1969 to 31 December 1999. Data were collected and submitted by the Laboratoire d'oceanographie physique, Centre IRD, Noumea.
