SY2017-2018 Local Law 60 Annual Report
Local Law 60 enacted in 2011 requires the Chancellor of the New York City School District to submit to the Council an annual report concerning school capacity and utilization data for the prior school year. This report consists of four tabs: 1. Summary Information - Count of each type of room assigned to each school by building, and whether any of those rooms are shared. 2. Room Detail Information - Includes the room number and square footage of each room type assigned to each school by building, and whether that room is shared. Rooms shared by some or all schools in the building are only listed once but should be tagged as “shared.” 3. Bathroom and Non-instructional Space by Building Information - Includes the number of student bathrooms in each building, whether they are open all the time, whether any bathrooms are shared, the number of non-instructional spaces used for instruction or other student services, and whether any of those non-instructional spaces are shared. 4. Meal Periods - Data reported is for the 2020-2021 school year. 45 minutes is used as the standard period length. For records with no meal periods, 1 period used as default for breakfast, 2 for lunch. All full Breakfast in the Classroom (BIC) schools do not contain a breakfast period. Some schools have a hybrid breakfast that includes both a breakfast period and BIC. These schools are noted by listing the breakfast period and ""/BIC"" in column H- ""Meals"".

Data reported in this report is from the 2015-16 school year. "" This report provides information about the number and percent of students receiving one semester of health education as defined in Local Law 14 as reported through the 2015-2016 STARS database. It is important to note that schools self-report their scheduling information in STARS. This report consists of 10 tabs: 1. Health Education Standards 2. HS - School 3. HS-District 4. Health Education Standards This tab provides information on the New York State Health Education Requirements and Standards. These requirements can be found in NYS Education Commissioner’s Regulation Subchapter G Part 135. 2. HS - School This tab includes school level data on the number of students that received a semester (one credit) of health instruction, as well as the number of June and August graduates meeting the HS health requirements for the 2015-2016 school year. Note that students are not required to receive health instruction at any particular grade level in high school, only prior to graduating. Additionally, values less than 100% do not necessarily imply that students graduated without meeting credit requirements. In very rare cases, these values may indicate missing or incomplete historical transcript data. 3. Local Law 42, enacted in 2011, requires the New York City Department of Education (DOE) to report to the New York City Council by June 30, 2015 the number of students in grades 9 through 12 who were discharged, transferred, or graduated during the school year. The data reflected here is the discharge and transfer for all students in grades 9 - 12. Discharge and Transfer Reporting for all students in grades 9 - 12.
2020-2021 Co-Location Report

On July 1, 2014, the New York City Council enacted a Local Law to amend the administrative code of the City of New York, in relation to requiring the Department of Education to report academic and demographic information on co-located schools. This report only includes co-located schools. All data is aggregated to the school-level rather than site-level. Enrollment and demographic come from the NYC DOE's public Demographic Snapshot, which is based on the November 12, 2020 Audited Register data. ELA & Math test outcomes are based on the results of the 2018-19 test administration. Due to COVID-19, ELA & Math exams were not administered in 2019-20. Graduation outcomes are based on the 4-year August and 6-year cohorts graduating in spring 2020.
