TCSP GOES VISIBLE AND INFRARED IMAGES V1
The TCSP GOES Visible and Infrared Images dataset was collected in support of the Tropical Cloud Systems and Processes (TCSP) mission, visible and infrared imagery from the Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite 11 and 12 (GOES11, GOES 12) was collected and archived. Two channels were archived: channel 1-- visible (0.65 microns), and channel 2-- infrared (11 microns). Data files in McIDAS format as well as browse images were created. The TCSP mission collected data for research and documentation of cyclogenesis, the interaction of temperature, humidity, precipitation, wind and air pressure that creates ideal birthing conditions for tropical storms, hurricanes and related phenomena. The goal of this mission was to help us better understand how hurricanes and other tropical storms are formed and intensify.

CLPX-Satellite: Landsat Thematic Mapper Imagery, Version 1
공공데이터포털
This data set consists of Landsat thematic mapper imagery collected over the Cold Land Processes Field Experiment (CLPX) Large Regional Study Area (LRSA), located between 38.5-42 N and 104-108.5 W. Data consist of Level 1G imagery products (radiance) that have been radiometrically and geometrically corrected.
TCSP ER-2 Navigation Data V1
공공데이터포털
The TCSP ER-2 Navigation Data contains information recorded by the on-board navigation and data collection systems of the NASA ER-2 high-altitude research aircraft. In addition to typical navigation data (e.g., date, time, latitude/longitude, and altitude) it contains outside meteorological parameters such as wind speed, wind direction, and temperature. These data were collected during the Tropical Cloud Systems and Processes (TCSP) field campaign in July 2005, with flights based out of Juan Santamaria Airport in San Jose, Costa Rica. The main goal of the campaign was to gain further insight into the structure and lifecycle of tropical weather systems. These navigation dataset files are available from July 2 through July 27, 2005 in ASCII and PDF formats.

Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) Global Area Coverage (VGAC), Version 1
공공데이터포털
The Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) instrument represents a significant change from the historical weather satellite observations. For example, there are several differences in observation style, channel, structure, etc. from the Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer (AVHRR) which flew on low earth orbit satellites since the 1970s. Several longstanding climate data records were developed expressly using the AVHRR instrument. The VIIRS Global Area Coverage (VGAC) dataset is an attempt to more closely bridge the old technology with the new. The VGAC data file provides one orbit of VIIRS observations (22 channels: 14 Reflective Solar Bands; 7 Thermal Emissive Bands and 1 Day/Night Band) that have been degraded in resolution to approximate the AVHRR GAC resolution. Each channel is provided using the same swath that simulates a 3.9 km resolution scan. The moderate resolution VIIRS channels each have the mean value of the radiance in that 3.9 km region. Some of the higher resolution imaging channels (I channels) contain more statistical information, including maximum and minimum radiances, which benefit algorithms like cloud and surface retrievals.

GOES CPEX V1
공공데이터포털
The GOES CPEX dataset contains products obtained from the Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite 13. These data were collected in support of the NASA Convective Processes Experiment (CPEX) field campaign. The CPEX field campaign took place in the North Atlantic-Gulf of Mexico-Caribbean Sea region from 25 May-25 June 2017. CPEX conducted a total of sixteen DC-8 missions from 27 May-24 June. The CPEX campaign collected data to help explain convective storm initiation, organization, growth, and dissipation in the North Atlantic-Gulf of Mexico-Caribbean Oceanic region during the early summer of 2017. These data are available from May 31, 2017 through July 25, 2017 and are available in netCDF-3 format.
