Latitudes and longitudes of volcanoes in Alaska
공공데이터포털
This publication provides digital point data for the locations of 127 volcanic centers in Alaska younger than 2 million years. Information about whether a volcano has been historically active is also provided. Detailed information about each center can be found on the Alaska Volcano Observatory website at http://www.avo.alaska.edu
Recently active volcanoes of Alaska
공공데이터포털
Recently active volcanoes of Alaska, Miscellaneous Publication 133 v. 6, lists the historically active volcanoes of Alaska and the year of the last major eruptive event. The volcanoes listed meet at least one of the following criteria since 1700 CE: 1) Documented, unquestioned eruption OR 2) A strongly suspected eruption, often an eruption documented in a historical account with very little information. Current geologic knowledge must not contradict the eruption account, OR 3) Persistent (usually on the order of decades, but certainly longer than several months) fumaroles, with temperatures (where measured) within approximately 10 degrees C of the boiling point, OR 4) Significant, measured, volcanic-related, non-eruptive deformation, OR 5) Documented earthquake swarm with strongly suspected volcanic cause. This data is released as a Miscellaneous Publication with an open end-user license. The data are available from the DGGS website: http://doi.org/10.14509/31086.
Tephra samples and analyses from Cook Inlet source volcanoes and Anchor Point, Alaska
공공데이터포털
Tephra samples and analyses from Cook Inlet source volcanoes and Anchor Point, Alaska, Raw Data File 2023-25, proivides samples and analyses collected from source volcanoes of the Cook Inlet region, Alaska, including Hayes Volcano, Mount Spurr, Redoubt Volcano, Iliamna Volcano, Augustine Volcano, Mount Douglas, Fourpeaked Mountain, and Kaguyak Crater. The report also includes tephra and soil samples and analyses from a stratigraphic section examined near Anchor Point, Alaska. These samples were collected over many years during geologic investigations of the eruptive histories for these source volcanoes, and in regional studies of eruption impacts, and are compiled here to support research characterizing the composition and impacts of these volcanoes on the Cook Inlet region. The analytical data tables associated with this report are provided in digital format as comma-separated value (CSV) files. They are available from the DGGS website: http://doi.org/10.14509/31090 and are archived in the Geologic Database of Information on Volcanoes in Alaska (GeoDIVA; Cameron and others, 2022, doi.org/10.14509/geodiva).
