environment_ACTGOV - ACTGOV RFMP - Physical Removal
This dataset displays the position and extents of areas that have been identified as Physical Removal areas in the RFMP 2019-28. Physical removal involves using hand tools, power tools or machinery to remove or change the structure of the vegetation. This usually involves removing or thinning shrubs and thinning and pruning trees. Debris created by physical removal may be piled and burnt, chipped on site or removed from the site. Physical removal is usually only undertaken in small areas, but may be undertaken more widely in areas such as pine plantations.

Greg Tankard - Regional Fire Management Plan Physical Removal
공공데이터포털
The SBMP requires regional fire management plans (RFMPs) to provide a link between the strategy of this plan and the more detailed bushfire operational plans (BOPs). RFMPs will be updated to cover the entire ACT to reflect boundaries based on bushfire risk and geography. RFMPs detail the five-year program (2014–19) of work for fuel reduction, access and infrastructure in the ACT. RFMPs for 2019–24 will be prepared during the life of the SBMP. The ACT Emergency Services Commissioner (the Commissioner) is responsible for approval of RFMPs. They will be reviewed as required to reflect significant changes. These may include unplanned bushfires, which may provide strategic advantages or changes to the location or extent of assets – for example, the development of new estates. IMPORTANT NOTICE The ACT Government is providing this bushfire management map for information purposes only. This data is derived from the best available vegetation. The ACT Government cannot and does not guarantee the accuracy and completeness of any data and information contained on this site as, among other reasons, there may have been changes to land use and vegetation since the map was produced. environment_ACTGOV - ACTGOV RFMP - Burn Areas 2019-2028
공공데이터포털
This dataset displays the position and extents of areas that have been identified as prescribed burn areas in the RFMP 2019-28. These prescribed burns may be developed and undertaken anywhere within the PCS and TCCS estate within the ACT and are subject to consideration and approval by a range of stakeholders as appropriate, and separate to the RFMP process; they are informed by ecological monitoring and research. This allows for flexibility in planning and developing these particular treatments as circumstances dictate in the context of an adaptive management approach. Additionally these burn locations are displayed as ‘maximum burn areas’.

environment_ACTGOV - ACTGOV RFMP - Trail Upgrades
공공데이터포털
This dataset displays the position and extents of planned fire access track and trail construction and upgrades. These sites have been identified as requiring to be upgraded from their current standard to cater for larger fire vehicles. These works have been identified in the RFMP 2019-28. The symbology is determined by the 'Required_Works' field. The current values are 'Proposed Light Unit', 'Proposed Walking Track', 'Upgraded Rigid Float'. Proposed Light Unit - To allow the safe passage of light units (4x4 Landcruiser or similar carrying a water tank of 400 – 600 litres). Generally, these features will have a width of 3 metres of natural, grass, sealed or gravel surface, corners of sufficient radius to make 3-point turns by light units unnecessary. Proposed Walking Track - Allow the safe passage of fire fighters on foot. Generally, these features will be less than 1m in width, of natural, grass, sealed or gravel surface and with vegetation maintained to allow single-file walking. Upgraded Rigid Float - To allow the safe passage of a rigid body truck carrying a D4 or equivalent sized bulldozer or machinery. Generally, these features will have the same characteristics as tanker roads but will have smaller rollovers and no switchback corners.
environment_ACTGOV - ACTGOV RFMP - Grazing
공공데이터포털
This dataset displays the position and extents of areas that have been identified as grazing areas in the RFMP 2019-28. Grazing involves the use of cattle, sheep, horses or other animals to eat and compact fuels. Grazing is usually only applied in grasslands because it is less effective in other vegetation types. Grazing may be undertaken throughout the year or for short periods when the grass is growing. Infrastructure such as fencing and water sources are required before an area can be grazed.
ACTmapi - SBMP BOP Fuel Management current
공공데이터포털
The ACT Parks & Conservation Service (PCS) manages about 73% or roughly 187,000 ha across the ACT and the Googong Foreshore, NSW. PCS implements an extensive ongoing bushfire fuel management program. Fuel management can reduce fire behaviour and severity, improve firefighter safety, increase the probability of suppression and reduce the impacts of bushfires on natural and built assets. The three means for managing bushfire fuels are reduction, removal and conversion to a less flammable type, and are achieved by undertaking the slashing, grazing, physical removal, and/or prescribed burns These activities are described in a yearly program of work referred to as the Bushfire Operations Plan (BOP), which sets out activities to meet the requirements of the Strategic Bushfire Management Plan for the ACT (SBMP). The Bushfire Map shows the Environment, Planning & Sustainable Development Directorate (EPSDD) Bushfire Operations Plan (BOP) for the current financial year. The EPSDD BOP is derived from the 5-year Regional Fire Management Plans, which can also be viewed on this site. The EPSDD BOP details the specific timing, type and location of fuel-reduction, access and infrastructure activities proposed to be undertaken in the ACT in the current financial; year, in accordance with the Strategic Bushfire Management Plan (SBMP).
