ACTmapi - ACTGOV ROAD RESERVES
In the ACT the Road Reserve is an area between blocks set aside for the movement of the public using various modes of transport, for the delivery of utilities and similar public purposes. All Road Reservers are traced from cadastral boundaries. Where the road reserve fall across District and Division boundaries, Road Reservers are also used to create the casements. Coordinate System is MGA2020-55 (EPSG #7855).

Coordinate System is MGA2020-55 (EPSG #7855). The physical boundary between two road reserve segments that prevents vehicular access; or the boundary of applicability of a road name between two road reserve segments that do not belong to the same road where one road runs into another (and hence there is no physical boundary or indication). The type of physical boundary relevant in each case is defined by the VEHICLE_RESTRICTION_FLAG attribute. A value of 0 is "Unrestricted Delimeter" and 1 is "Restricted R-Section".

These areas are either described by volume and folio reference, or mapped as a buffer to road centre lines. State Roads reserve areas are routinely zoned under the Tasmanian Planning Scheme State Planning Provisions as 'Utility Zone'.

This does not necessarily indicate the existence of physical kerb and channel construction, but the edges of some sort of physical vehicle carriageway. The dataset is updated by digitising from Aerial Photography. Coordinate System is MGA2020-55 (EPSG #7855).
